What's the closest you've come to a natural disaster?
I've done my fair share of hiding in closets and hallways over my life hoping a tornado misses me. They always have by at least a block thankfully! Otherwise just the usual minor earthquakes, fringes of tropical storms, flash flooding, and ice storms.
Nothing really. I've felt a tiny earthquake before. We've had snowstorms where people have had roofs collapse. Some crazy storms where our siding has blown off the house in a couple spots. Otherwise...nothing really.
Let's see... We have also done our fair share of hiding in spaces hoping a tornado misses us. I flew out of Orlando, FL in a tropical storm in 2001 (which was also the same trip where we were evacuated from Disney's Animal Kingdom because of the terrorist attacks on 9/11). In 2005, we had an ice storm that hit Central Indiana that left us without power for 5 days. I also felt an earthquake a few years ago. It woke me up. That is definitely not a normal occurance in the Midwest. Other than that, we have been blessed.
