Do you have a record player at home still? Perhaps as part of a stereo system? Do you still own any records?
Sure don't. We don't even own a CD player, cassette player, or even a stereo. All we have are mp3 players and a nice interactive iPod dock that's part of our audio receiver in the living room. I use a blu ray player in Aiden's room to play him CDs of classical music.
Nope. Never had one.
I do not, but my Father has thousands of records and players. He use to own a record store. I think he's in the process of dwindling down his collection, which makes me sad. I remember listening to those records growing up and having rooms in out house filled to the brim with crates of them.
DH just rehomed all our CD's so we are now part of the no tapes, and CD crowd. We don't have any 8 tracks either. But---I do own a tape player. My 2008 model car came with one?! How weird is that?
Am I showing my age? I do have one on a stereo (which also has a 5-disc cd player). I was thinking of getting rid of my stereo but then I wouldn't have a record player. I haven't used it in years but still. I have a couple of my old records and some of my Father's old ones.
Amber - I think you should keep a few of those records before they are gone. You'll love having them and you could even frame them or use them as decorative pieces somehow. What a great memory. Music is awesome for the soul! No 8 tracks here either.
I'm definitely showing my age I have my old high school stereo that has a double tape deck and single CD player. No record player. Most of my CD's I've put on the hard drive and use as MP3, but I just got my ipod about 3 months ago. I've been using the computer as my stereo for some time now.
