RQOTD - Weekend Edition

I'm drawing a blank for a question this morning...so, I'll go easy. What are you and your family doing this weekend? How is the weather where you're at?

Let's see...tonight we are going to dinner at our friend's house...tomorrow is my niece's birthday party. Other than that. Just cleaning house and relaxing. Maybe go to the library.

As far as the weather....we are finally getting some sun! The rest of the country is baking in record heat and here in the Pacific NW we have had rain all week, but today the sun is shining and we are supposed to get into the 80's this weekend! YAY!!! Finally some summer!!

I work tonight when DH gets home, from 7p-11p. Saturday we'll go to the gym, do some housework, then go a party that evening. Sunday, we have no real plans but I do have to work again that night from 7p-11p. nothing too exciting. I have a couple meals for my friend who jsut had twins so we'll try to drop them off between their NICU visits.

As far as the weather, we've been warm here. High 90's. But we don't have humidity, so I think we're fairing better than some of the other states with this HOT weather.

Tonight is a stupid party that DH is required to go to. And none of the guys are allowed to drive, so lord know when I'll see him. UGH. So I'll be home alone with Aiden. Tonight and Saturday night we'll be doing two more nights of trying to get Aiden to sleep without the magical boob. I've been so sleep deprived recently because I have to do everything all day and all night and this kid has been waking every every 1-2 hours at night. And since DH needs sleep, the magical boob pops out so he doesn't cry and wake DH up. I'm over being an all night buffet. At this point I just want 3 hour stretches. That's it. So, not sleeping at night and being a zombie during the day is the plan for the weekend. Should be fun.

Oh weather. Today is supposed to be very cool with a high of only 96º. The rest of the weekend should be 101-103ish. Typical temps that we've been having here for a while.

The weather here has been perfect. I feel so bad for my family/friends in the midwest. It's been in the 70's/80's here. Just perfect.

As far as plans... today we're going swimming after school and then for the weekend we have soccer class, swim lessons, housework, shopping, party planning, and then a trip to the zoo and local park planned... busy.

I want to work on our house a bit and get stuff ready for a garage sale. I would like to take Deacon to see Winnie the Pooh at some point. I also want to go buy some material to make this little girl a blanket.

Our weather is in the high 90's with a heat index of over 100. Humidity Sucks! We are still in a drought so we are all hoping for rain, although it doesn't look likely.

Today we already had swim lessons and after Jordan's nap we will go to the grocery store. Tonight we will just hang around the house I guess. I think I might pick up a movie for us at a Redbox. Tomorrow I have a haircut appointment and then we may hang out with my sister and her family. We do not have any plans for Sunday yet so we will probably just do some things around the house.

Our weather is hot, hot, hot. High of 101 today and tomorrow and a high of 102 on Sunday. It's lovely!

I cannot believe you have been able to do that for so long! I know with Jordan, the less I feed her at night, the less she seems to wake. Of course I have taken a very slow approach to night weaning her and she still wakes once to nurse most nights. Good luck to you and let us know how it goes!

Jenn- Fun! What kind of blanket are you going to make? Be sure to post pictures when you're finished. I love seeing people crafty stuff. Smile

Thank you. I don't think I announced it over here. Sorry about that.

Its nothing fancy but I can't stop thinking about it so I want to make it so I can sleep at night. LOL I'm just buying 2 pieces of fabric - like a sheet or some light weight cotton - and sewing them together and then I'll make little X marks all over it with yarn to keep it from separating in the middle. If that makes any sense. Deacon has one like that and I found it in my mom's closet years ago and stole it Smile I love how big it is. Its bigger than a baby blanket but perfect for toddler sized kids. I don't own a sewing machine so I may be asking MIL to sew up the edges for me. But for some reason I can't stop thinking about it - I can picture the pattern perfectly so I am hoping to be able to find something similar.

I also need to make another fleece knot blanket because I gave mine to our dog for his new doggie bed.

 Congratulations!!!!! I missed that you are on team pink! Any idea of what you are thinking of for names? So happy for you, Jenn!

Weather wise it has been brutal here. The humidity is awful too. Thurs was 103 with a heat index of 111. Yesterday was a tad better (96) not sure what the heat index was.

Nothing solid planned for this weekend. Hoping to spend some time with my grandmother today. I have a lot of things I should do but I don't seem to have enough energy. We'll see where the day takes me.

Julie, when I think of NY I only picture cold, it's weird to think it's that hot. It's miserable here too.

No solid names but the front runner is Claire with no middle name insight. But we aren't settling on that one yet until we feel like we have looked a little more. Claire was the name we had for deacon and we still both like it.

Jenn, congrats on team pink! Smile

Last night would have gone better if it hadn't stormed so much. The thunder kept waking him up. And then DH refused to get up to help at all last night once he got in! :banghead:

DH is working and it's too hot and I'm too pregnant to do much. Right now Daphne is stringing beads on a pipe cleaner. I have no clue what we'll do this afternoon. I have to get my nephew's birthday gift in the mail...so a trip to the post office?

I feel for you Joy! My mom still talks about being pregnant with me during the brutal summer of 1980. I think they broke a lot of records that year and she was miserable. On a side note, you are 34 (almost 35) weeks! Wow! Belly photo? Biggrin

Hi ladies! Congrats Jenn on joining team pink!

We had some excitement last night as our neighbours house burned to the ground. It was rather terrifying! Today we went grocery shopping, and now everyone else is napping (and I'm trying to catch up after a week's holidays). Either later today or tomorrow I'm taking Alicia to see Winnie the Pooh. Other than that, just getting back into work mode...I hate the last day of holidays it always seems like there is so little to look forward to!

As for weather, we're breaking heat records all over the place. It as 37 C on Thursday (50 with the humidex) and today its 34 (45 with the humidex). Its crazy hot. We are spending as much time as possible inside, which I hate as I love summer, but none of us can handle this heat for long. I truly hope it breaks soon, and thank goodness that we have A/C.

Jenn- I love the name Claire. If it was not my SIL's name it would have been a strong contender for our DD.

Joy- Yes! belly pictures!!! I hope you're feeling well and staying cool.

You guys don't want to see belly pictures...I'm seriously a whale at this point. I'm measuring two weeks ahead and carrying all of it out front...I can barely walk. I've been refusing to let Tyson take any pictures. Pregnancy does not agree with me. Smile

Today we have been home sick. Tomorrow, I hope to go to a practice run at the local running store at 8:30 am; otherwise, home sick. Sorry to be a downer, but just can't do much right now!

Joy, I think we still want to see. lol. I'm sorry you're so miserable! This heat has got to be awful for you!

Nicole, how scary! Do they live right next door? How did the fire start?

Jackie, I hope tonight goes better!

Joy- Take a picture!! I didn't take any with Andrew because I HATED how huge I was- both in baby and overeating weight. I now regret it. You don't have to share them with anyone (but us of course! Wink ) but it may be a good idea to have at least one before this little guy comes. Speaking of your little guy, have you narrowed your short list of names yet?

Nicole- OMG! How scary! I'm so sorry for your neighbors loss! that is terrible. Sad

Sophia- I didn't know you were running! Good for you! Biggrin I hope you feel better and you're able to go.

Love Claire. You'll have to keep us posted.

Yes, it gets pretty cold and snowy here. But boy can it get hot in the summer. The humidity is brutal!

How scary and sad about your neighbors house, Nicole.

Let us know how Winnie the Pooh is!
