RQOTD - Weekend Edition

Sorry I'm just doing this. When I tried to log in yesterday morning the site was down.

Is there anything you tend to do more of when you are stressed? What is it?

Eat. Drink. Cry.

I'm TOTALLY stressed right now in a major way. We got more news that's making this month even more stressful since chat night.

This is turning into a nightmare this week. I was SO done with all of this chat night too! I had to drive the 2.5 hours to San Antonio to pick up DH yesterday...then drive that back. So that left just today to finish packing for 3 months and to get everything that we're keeping on us out of our house and into the TLF (temp lodging facility on base). Meanwhile Friday afternoon while DH was still at SERE (mind you one of the most stressful courses ever for air force guys that comes completely with a warning that you may be infertile for a couple of weeks ), he gets a call and is told that because he's going to fighter pilot training he has to complete 11 flights and 6 sims before he leaves for his next training (which starts a week from Monday). So suddenly the help I thought I was going to have this week is gone. Packers arrive tomorrow to pack up our house. Someone has to be there. And sit and watch them. Not to bad without a toddler. With one a nightmare. They don't take away our stuff till Tuesday, so another half day of sitting there. Wednesday is our cleaning day. Totally now hiring a clearer for the inside, but still have to wash all the outside windows, borrow a lawn mower, rake leaves, etc. Things that I'd appreciate having a husband around for.
So a really busy week for DH in pilot training was 9 EVENTS TOTAL (that's flights and sims combined). There is ZERO chance in hell he's going to complete everything they want him to suddenly. UGH.
And my favorite part is that we were planning on leaving here Thursday, so we had Friday to attempt to find someplace halfway livable in our new city. We seriously have no place to go when we get there right now. Well, now we can't leave Thursday. It'll be Saturday at the earliest. No time to find a place to live. DH has to be the one to sign any leases too! And even more fun? Our TLF here runs out Thursday morning so we have to move out of here by then and into a hotel 30 minutes away in town. :banghead:
I'm probably the most stressed I've ever been in my life. I used to think that my working over 40 hours a week while planning a full Catholic wedding in 9 weeks was hard, well I was wrong. Blum 3 My mind is so scattered and so spent that I'm not even sure if what I'm writing is going to make sense to y'all. lol.

My absolute favorite part though is that the ugly witch herself decided to show up today. All I could do was laugh. Cause really?!

At this point I'm convinced that we'll be spending the rest of this month living in a La Quinta. Cause nothing says merry christmas quite like a crappy hotel. (We have a cat, so we're limited in finding places that'll accept him.)

Oh my gosh, Jackie! I am so sorry about all of that. Moving is one of those major events in life that is stressful enough in and of itself but with everything else piling on top of it, I'm sure it's just too much. I really hope things work out much better than you are anticipating. I wish there were something we could do to help. Sending you virtual ((hugs)) seems silly but sending them anyway!

Oi! I'm so sorry Jackie! I hope that you are able to find somewhere half-way decent to stay for a bit while you look for a nice place to live. There are sometimes short-term rentals or long-term stay hotels...would that be an option? Don't stress over Xmas...Aiden won't remember...we didn't do it last year as DH and I
both had the flu...and our kids are okay and very excited this year Wink

Virtual hugs and prayers!

Nicole

Ugh, Jackie! that sounds sooooo stressful! You're a champ for hanging in there and doing this all alone.

Done and done. I'm sorry this week (and future weeks) are becoming way more stressful than you anticipated.

Thanks ladies. It's been a long day already! The worst part is that they only gave us 2 packers this morning and told us they're not sure if they'll be done today!
