Hello! We're doing well. This week we're visiting our families. Next weekend we're driving out to Albuquerque and will be there for 3 weeks. DH has a 3 week class out there for work. He's gearing up for a deployment, so we decided to have the whole family join him. I've been super busy recently with the local babywearing group - it's really taking off! Zoe is now 4.5 months and rolling around and trying to sit already. She's such a happy girl! Aiden is going through a language explosion, so he's finally starting to talk for communication! Give him a few hot wheels cars and he's happy these days. Wink
Hope everyone else is doing well!

Hi there! We are super busy. My husband and I are both really, really busy at work. The kids are doing okay. Isaiah was doing really well until state testing started here. He is bright and I have no concerns at all. Indiana requires third grade students to pass a reading test in order to move into fourth grade (I won't share my opinions on that here). Isaiah did pass that test. I told him that he would, but he cried for days off and on because he was so worried. We are also having teasing issues again. I had another parent call me yesterday about it. His son told him that Isaiah was being teased by the same boy several times a day. I have his parent-teacher conference today, so I plan to address it then. We are considering a change in schools. Isaiah just isn't thriving in the current school environment. He is getting ready to start swimming again. He had a 6-week break between seasons. I cannot wait for him to start again. It really helped his confidence and eased some of his anxiety. Physical activity is so good for the brain.

As for the girls, we are finally potty trained...mostly. Keira still refuses to poop on the potty, but I can handle that for now. We are starting to have more accident-free days. I am not sure if it has to do with their personalities, but they wanted nothing to do with potty training. It did not matter how I reinforced it, they wanted nothing to do with it. I finally combined some reinforcers and spent my spring break in underwear boot camp. It paid off. Now, if I can get them interested in learning, we will be good to go when we hit kindergarten in a few years. The girls are starting to really get into girl stuff like princesses and dresses.

I realized that I forgot to comment on your update. 4.5 months already! Where has the time gone? And yay for more language. That is so nice. I loved it when all of my kids really started expressing themselves. Deployment, huh? Boo for that. I am sorry. Sad

Jackie - how long will dh be deployed for? :/ Glad to hear the babywearing group is taking off!

Mel - I'm sorry I is being teased. Sad That's great that another parent brought it to your attention! How did the conference go?

Hi Ashley! The conference went well. The teacher said that she will keep an eye on Isaiah. If I find out more, she wants to know right away. Isaiah is doing so much better this year. I am not sure that it was just counseling that made the difference. However, he is much more focused and less stressed at school. His teacher said that she rarely hears "I can't do it." He was saying that a lot last year.

How are you?

6-ish months. No idea when he's leaving. Sometime between July and March. Nothing like a small time frame, huh? Wink

Mel, that's great the teacher is wanting to know right away and had positive things to say! The school year is almost over, right?!

Jackie, that is quite the timeframe!!!

I'm doing well. We're getting dumped on with snow again. This Winter is dragging on way too long. Our snow was almost gone, and then we got about 12" last week. Now today so far we've gotten about 5" and it's supposed to continue snowing until tomorrow. Ugh. I can't handle any more snow, it's seriously depressing. I've been trying to get my inside projects done and am preparing for a garage sale.

Wow, Jackie. I saw your other post also. That is quite the time frame. I hope you find out soon so that you at least know. Sorry he'll be leaving. Glad to hear the babywearing group is taking off!

I'm sorry Isaiah is being teased. How have things been going since you wrote this? Yay for the girls being pretty much potty trained!

When is your garage sale, Ashley? Did you already have it? How are your temps this week? Hopefully warmer!

Boo for rain during a garage sale. Sad

Julie- Isaiah is doing much better. He is getting ready to stop counseling and he has been a much happier kid. I am so glad. I just hope we can keep it this way. We suspect some seasonal affective disorder with him. I suffer with it some, and exercise helps me a lot. I will monitor it once Fall is here again, and I will do some things to help him if necessary.

I am debating asking for a referral to an ENT? Tell me what you think? Sarafina is the only one of my kids who gets ear infections. And...when she gets one, it takes several rounds of antibiotics to really alleviate it. Sometimes, I wonder if there is a little amount of bacteria that ends up slightly dormant in her tubes, and when she gets a cold, the bacteria multplies like mad. She was put on Augmentin two weeks ago, and we had to switch to Omnicef. The Omnicef is working, but she is still poking at that ear. I don't know if she has allergies, or if she has really narrow and small tubes. She is so petite, it is hard to really tell. She is just a royal bear when she has an ear infection. She melts down to the slightest thing, and her anxiety just amplifies. We have had complete panic attacks over her fear of bugs. Ugh!

Where is everyone else?

Hi! It's been awhile...:)

I enjoyed reading the updates on everyone.

Mel- glad things are looking up for Isaiah! Sorry about Sarafina's ears. I would definitely get into the ENT to get the tubes checked out.

Ash- I hope it doesn't rain for your garage sale! I held my first ever garage sale a few weeks ago and it went well. Was a little sad as I sold off all of our baby "stuff".

Jackie- I recently saw pics of you on a Sept moms group from your play date Smile looked like fun!

Julie- how are you???

Things have been good here. J graduates from pre-k next month. I'm pretty emotional over the whole thing! I'm going to keep him in 1-2 days over the summer because I feel otherwise he will have a tough time transitioning from 0-5 days of school! I can't believe he is going to kindergarten!!! T is doing so well communicating since he had tubes put in. Today is the first day I sent him to school in big boy underwear. I'm hoping he does well! We are going to try out a new preschool for him starting this summer... I'm feeling nervous about the change; however, it's something I feel we need to try. Other than that, we're keeping busy with sports classes, tball, play dates, and family Smile

Melanie - How is Sarafina doing with her ear now? I'm glad Isaiah is doing better!

Cali - Amazing that J graduated from PreK. Time is seriously flying. How is T liking his new preschool? How are you? I'm good. Not too much to report. Both boys are doing well. M turned 4 in late May. He has been taking soccer and loves it. M2 is hilarious and growing fast.

We moved! Just off base. LOL. Bigger house, no shared wall, huge private back yard, and cheaper rent. Win-win for our family! No vacations. Just spending as much time together as a family while we can. Smile

That's great, Jackie! You must love having that private back yard! Do you know when dh is leaving?
