    Default weekend chit chat

Hi all! What's going on this weekend? Anything fun planned? How's the weather where you're at?

I really wanted to paint the exterior of our house this weekend. But it's suppose to rain.

I'm also in the process of changing Ava's room to her "big girl" room. I will probably paint that if the weather doesn't cooperate for the exterior.

Fun!!! Share pics when you're done!

I am so tired. Vivi has been up a lot at night lately...like 4-5 times. So tired. Miles was up once last night too because he had to go to the bathroom. Who needs sleep anyways?

I'm working on putting a scalloped edge all around the top of Vivian's room using Vinyl that I cut w/my Cricut. I hope to finish that up over the weekend, but it looks like I might be a little bit short on Vinyl so I might have to do what I can and order more.

Sunday we're going to the Zoo if it's not raining.

Ava wants a princess room. I don't want it to look like Disney puked in her room, while still giving her something she loves. So we're working on a compromise and going for understated princess.

Her room will be a neutral color, but I let her go wild in the closet. She picked out a pink and I added the stencil to tone it down a little. I'm not sure I'm loving it. I might have to adjust the color of the stencil a bit.

sorry if the pics are big.

Ashley, sorry to hear Vivian has been keeping you up so much. Do you think it's a growth spurt? Being sleep deprived is just miserable. Also, you will have to share pictures of the scalloped detail when you are done! How does the vinyl stick? Do you put it up sort of like wallpaper?

Amber, I LOVE the idea of letting her do something fun in her closet! That is such a good idea and I actually think it looks great as is. I love when parents give their children some freedom to have fun like that. When we moved into our house the front room was RED with GOLD sponged over it. There daughter was very into her HS art classes and they let her paint her room. Nice parents, hideous room. My uncle joked that we could have rented the room out by the hour. I'm also with you on preferring understated themes/colors. Well, Jordan's room has a lot of birds but I tried to keep it from being overly baby. I want Nora's room to have a similar sort of feel.

Our plans are to continue with house stuff. My list of to-do's is forever long and my body can only handle a small amount of the tasks. We need to get a storage unit to move some things into so our house will have less clutter for showing. We need to do more touching up and need to paint baseboards. We will be meeting with our realtor tonight to go over details of an offer for that house and will meet again with him Saturday to sign all of the documents he types up. Plus, the lawn needs to be mowed and we need to go to the grocery store. I'm tired just thinking of it all.

ETA: Forecast is upper 80's. All I know is that last night when I went to bed, I didn't want any sheets or pillows to touch me. I considered bringing in the tower fan in addition to the ceiling fan running.

I'll answer the other two threads later. Right now I'm beyond exhausted. Yesterday morning I left NC at 5am and drove for many, many hours. Saw my grandmother. Stayed at a hotel where Aiden refused to sleep till midnight. And then he refused to sleep in his travel bed and instead slept in my bed with me. But he rolls a lot, so I kept waking up paranoid that he was going to roll off. *sigh* Did another long day of driving today, but I'm at my parents' house finally. No idea what I'm going to end up doing this weekend. Hopefully sleep is in there somewhere.

Amber, I like the pattern in the closet! I think it looks cute! I want to see pics when you finish her room

Ashley, I'm sorry Vivi is keeping you up at night. We've been dealing with sleepless nights as well. We have been waking J up mid-night to use the bathroom and other nights he is having night terrors. T is working on his final canine and he is struggling with it (this is the fourth tooth in a row) I'm ready for some sleep!

The weather here has been gorgeous. We've been really busy doing a lot of fun outdoor things (except for today since J is not feeling well ) If he's feeling better tomorrow, I think we will be hitting up the beach again
Mommy to 2 amazing little boys!
