Big test tomorrow (bfp ment)

I did IVF in April and have had positive HPTs and rising BETAs. Tomorrow is the ultrasound to check for the heartbeat. I am a nervous wreck. It is scary to know that even if it does have a hb and you are put into the 97%, you can still fall in the 3% (like my last loss). The pregnant fertiles on the forum for December 2012 due dates can't relate. They post about baby names you like and if you watch Grey's Anatomy. Seriously? What kind of life would it be like to be a fertile?! When I did post about being nervous for the viability u/s, I got responses like, "What is that?" from women with signature revealing they have 5 kids.

Wish me luck. Tomorrow, I'll be 6w3d. PLEASE BE THERE HEARTBEAT!

I know where you're coming from and have everything crossed for you! Speaking for myself, going through IF changed how I view pregnancy and children. I hope all is well with your pregnancy and that you are soon classified as a "run-of-the-mill, normal pregnant woman" by the medical community.

Ultrasound was good.

One baby.
HB of 128.
Measuring right on schedule!!!

We have one more u/s in 10 days and then we'll be released to the obgyn. Some ease did come to mind seeing a hb, but I am completely terrified of the nuchal scan... I must gear up for it!

Congrats on the good news!

(PG MENT) We did the NT scan although we decided early on that we were opting out of amnio and the AFP test (too many false positives that lead to amnio). For us, the results wouldn't have changed the outcome and any risk of m/c wasn't worth knowing that our baby "might" have an abnormality. At first, I thought I wanted to go through testing so that I would "be prepared." My husband pointed out that we would never "be prepared," I would just worry, and most abnormalities that would require a special team in the delivery room would be picked up on the 3D u/s. I'm telling you this because it wasn't something I thought about before I became pregnant. (END PG MENT)

I hope all goes well with all of your future appointments. Enjoy being pregnant!

Thanks, everyone. This has been a road of hell and torture. I am ready to move on!

Mrs.doodlittle - As for future tests, we're only doing the nuchal scan around 10 - 12 weeks (through u/s). It was enough for our tri18... unfortunately. With previous pg's I was signed up for all sorts of testing. No more. Not this time. This is it. No more risks, gambles, or whatever. What happens, happens.

I had another u/s last week. The baby measured a few days behind and there is some small bleeding outside of the sac (I have had no spotting). The RE said it wasn't anything to be concerned about and that it was time to move on to a general obgyn. The heartbeat was good, 150! I will see the general obgyn next week and I am anxious to see if the bleeding is gone/stopped and that the baby is getting bigger.

I have the same thing, small area of a bleed, it's shrinking now. Just try not to overdo it and all will be well. Smile Yay for being released to the regular Obgyn!!
