Default Clomid before the new appt?

    Hi all!
So this is the second clomid cycle. If I stop the cycle at 30 days like my ob says with provera, or if I ovulated and I will naturally get af, I will be about half through my next cycle when it's time for my appt with the new RE.
So. My question. Should I take clomid next cycle or not?
I asked the dr office and they said it's up to me. I can't decide if I should go 'natural' so they can see how things go with me. Or if I should take it and they'll be able to see the follies to know if they are growing (they already said that we'll do ultrasounds)

Any thoughts? What would you do?

Oh, that's a tough one... Part of me says I would want to be off of it so that the new RE has more of an idea of what things are normally like with you. On the other hand, part of me says stay on it so that you can be prepared for anything he/she suggests (would hate for you to miss a precious cycle--although, when you've waited this long, what's one more month, right?!?! ). Not sure if I helped you or not... lol

**edited to add: honestly, if it were me, I think I would stay on it.

Yup, that is a tough decision to make. I think if it was me that I would stay on it, they can do an u/s and see if it is working. Did your other RE do any testing and has that been sent to the new one? If so you are probably good to stay on it.

    Good luck!

Thank you so much ladies. It looks by my charts that I did ovulate this month and last month. If it wasn't working, I wouldn't bother, but since it looks like it might be, I don't think I want to miss a cycle. And maybe he can say if it's working, since my current dr doesn't want to find out!! I asked one more time for a progesterone check, and they said no again. Grr.

I'm sure I'll be back to update

How annoying! I can't think of any reason why they wouldn't order the test. YOU'RE the one paying and it's a pretty standard test

I would take the Clomid. This way your new RE could check to see if its working for you (u/s to check follies and sizes if you're mid cycle, and a p4 test if you've already ovulated). I cannot believe the doctor you currently have!! Honestly, its no biggie to test p4 and for many RE's its standard practice. Especially since there is no monitoring being done to check follicles etc.

    SMALL victory!!! Woot.

I called my dr that is a jerk and argued up and down and they agreed to do the progesterone check. He got so annoyed with me bugging them actually, that he made it a 'repeat as needed' test, so I can do it next time without him signing it! haha! I win!
