    Default Fragmin

    Hey my lovelies !!!

So I just got back from seeing my new consultants on the genetics team.
He told me that mthfr is very common ( so if it is why wasn't I tested there?)
Although my strain is less common.
Plus he is not convinced it is connected to reoccurent miscarriage!! That makes me feel better.... Not!!!

Anyhow.... He has prescribed me fragmin.... A shot I will need to take from the first positive pregnancy test!!
So when I get the bfp I need to go see my gp and nurse and get my prescription.
    Yuk yuk!!!!!
So not looking forward to this!!!
He would normally suggest aspirin too but as I am allegic it's a no go.
He says that once I am pregnant they will monitor me and maybe put me on multi vitamins too.
He says just the folic acid us fine for now and he doubts that I will need to continue it once I have had a baby if my diet stays good.
He also said no more weight loss!!!!!
He says I am on the cusp of the amount of fragmin I need to take do loosing more wouldn't be good plus my weight is fine as it is!!!
    That's great news!!!!

He seemed like a nice guy!!!
    So that's my news!!!

Sounds like a good appointment, even though you will have to take shots - that sucks. I am allergic to aspirin too so I understand that one.

    Good Luck!

Ya, not thrilled with giving myself needles either. Maybe I will get pregnant after the hsg on my own?

Have to wait for AF to get here first. On CD 19 and if no AF by CD 35 then I get a blood test and progesterone.

Liz, sounds like exactly what I went through with my 1st son, same type of protocol. If you can't take aspirin, you can try giving ginger a try, it's really good for blood.

    big hugs!
