Haven't been around much!

I know I haven't been around much. We haven't been TTC at all since....well....no point really since we found out about my uterine septum.

My surgery to remove the septum, remove the cyst on my left ovary, and have another lap and HSG to check my tubes is in two days (Thursday). I'm starting to get a little nervous about it because I'm starting to remember the recovery from last time. Last time it was just viewing/checking and removing a little endo. This time will be more severe and I will probably be a little more sore after. And he said I will probably have four incisions instead of three.

Also, DH won't be with me as he's on course this week so my sister will be there with me at the hospital. I finally "came out" to my sister about all the infertility stuff recently which really took a load off of me. I hadn't mentioned anything to my family as they tend to not understand this type of stuff. But my sister is the one normal person so it's nice to have someone to talk to about it. Thank goodness she had vacation days left she could use to take the days off because I needed someone to drive me there and back! She didn't mind really either as this upcoming weekend is a long weekend so she gets 5 days off in a row.

So yeah, that's what is up with me. I'll post back with the results after my surgery to let you know the outcome. I'm really interested to see if my right tube really is blocked or not because our new RE thinks the septum may have been blocking the dye!

I am happy to hear that you are finally getting your surgery. Did the RE say how long until you can start trying? I got pregnant right away after my hsg last time, I should be having a second one next week. My RE wants to see if there is any scarring from the d&c I had.

Good luck and I hope you have a great Thanksgiving weekend.

Hmm...I posted an update to this thread from my phone but I guess it didn't work? Odd!

Anyway, yes, it was much easier this time than last. This time the anesthesiologist was so gentle and I barely had any sore throat pain like I did last time. They also did well with the gas and I haven't had ANY pains related to the gas they used to inflate me with.

It was four incisions this time though, unlike three last time.

Unfortunately, I don't know the results and I have to follow up with my RE on that. All he did say at my bedside after was that it went very well.

Thanks for all the well wishes!
