Obsession thread...

So, I tested this morning..............
And I seriously need help... severe POAS addict lol! It was 2MU and looked pretty diluted but I went ahead and tested anyway. Of course, got a BFN!!! Blum 3
In my defense, I did miscount days and thought I was @ 10dpo (which ok, is still pretty early :p) rather than 9... dadgum, don't you hate it when that happens!?!? I just *wanted* it to be one day closer to legitimately POAS lol.
It feels like this has been the longest 2WW I've had in a LONG time - I think because I got sick around 3 or 4dpo so it just feels like time has been draaaggggging....

Anyone else in the 2WW? Any symptoms or have you tried anything different this time around?

I've been reading up on lunaception (theory: sleeping in total dark helps you create more progesterone & you can "control" when you O by introducing light a few days a month) and decided to give it a try. I really have no $$ for fancy schmancy black out curtains so went the cheap route & bought an eye mask with a Bed, Bath & Beyond coupon I had lol.
So far I've noticed, after taking a couple days to get used to the mask, that I've been sleeping better, my bbs have been way less sore and the last two nights I woke up almost with night sweats.. I think my hormones are getting rearranged somehow.......

Sorry about the bfn. They always suck! I've heard about lunaception but have never tried it.

you could put garbage bags over your windows and then cut slits in them or take them down when you want moonlight to come in Wink
the garbage bags you cut slits into can then later be worn as a home made sexy nighty -- tee hee!

My cousin tried lunaception program (if you call it that) and it worked for her ~ fingers are crossed that it will for you

And I HATE when I miss count days too ~ I am the worst person to keep track on which day I am on, so I feel your sorrow.

Looking forward to hearing about your re-testing results in a few days

We only close our blinds on the weekends to prevent the morning sun from waking us up if we've had a late night. Other than that we have always kept our blinds open, letting moonlight in all the time.

Rachael - the theory is that if you're sleeping in absolutely darkness, so dark you can't see your hand in front of your face basically, and it's too dark to be able to see your way to the bathroom, etc. lol, then your body is able to synchronize itself to ovulate when there's light introduced by either the full moon or nightlights, etc. We have a streetlight that makes our room pretty light @ night, even with the blinds closed and light enough to where it was making it hard for me to sleep sometimes anyways, so I thought it'd be a good time to try lunaception. www.lunaception.net has more info or if you google it. Smile

Hahaha, Tacie, I actually thought about doing that.. unfortunately, the garbage bags we have right now are WHITE Sad and I figured if I was going to buy black trash bags, might as well get the eye mask.. Wink I AM thinking of hitting up a thrift store or two and seeing what I can find by way of curtains, etc... Smile That's exciting that it worked for your cousin! I can tell my body's doing something different, but can't tell if it's this or if it's because of various changes in my diet that's messing with my hormones...

Little of "a" and a little of "b" could be doing it ... but really if it works then that's all that matters! Smile
I am sure you're DH would love to see a white plastic homemade outfit just as much as black - tee hee! All you need is scissors and duct tape to get the fun started

LOL I guess I was thinking that everyone must sleep in pitch black dark! I can't sleep any other way. If I can see anything with my eyes open, it's not dark enough! It drives my DH insane!

Haha, yeah, for the first time in probably 17 years, I don't have an alarm clock... it just got to the point where the light was shining right on my face and annoying me so I'd cover it up and after we moved, I just never unpacked it..lol.

Thank you, Amber! Smile I hope that it'll help in even just a small way! Smile

So AF arrived this morning, not surprising me at all. (I'd stopped POAS because I could tell the witch was on her way..)
No cramps so far, which is good, and I didn't wake up feeling absolutely exhausted like I usually do on CD1.. Smile On to the next cycle... yay. Blum 3
