    Default Ovarian cyst :( last update

    So my PCOS rears it's ugly head again I was in pain on friday, finally went to the ER, suspected cyst. U/S ordered for Monday. Sunday pain was worse, got a shot of morphine and an early u/s...cyst on right ovary Usually when they find one it ruptures soon after, so far...still in pain Going to try and get in to see my family doc....on about day 37... not having fun.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    So while I was getting ready to go to the doctor's I went and used the toilet, there was a huge gush (like when my water broke with Robbie), lots of pain and AF started. The cyst ruptured on its own! Ya! As much as I do not like the pain at least this way things are almost over. Still very sore but it is less then it was. May take tomorrow off to recover a little more.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    2nd update: Saw my doctor again yesterday. Apparently the cyst did not rupture and that is why i am still in pain. However I am questioning if it did rupture this morning.... Either way I see the GYN on tuesday morning so if nothing else should get some answers then.

    oh boy did it rupture!! Best news of all...NO pain meds today!!! not even tylenol!!! Feeling much better...and the sucker was a lot smaller then most of the ones I have had in the past - only 1.7 cm diameter!

    All's they can do is control (or try to control) the pain. When I was in the ER on Sunday, after I had the morphine shot I kept singing (in my mind I hope) "Moves like Jagger". Sean and Robbie didn't complain about my singing so I am sure it was in my head.

    The cyst was the size of an orange! The cysts that I get are "functional" in that it is an ovum trying to be released but something happens that it keeps growing/filling with fluid. Not fun but not life threatening in any way.

    Thanks for the hugs!

    Doesn't sound fun at all Hun!!!

    So very pleased it's ruptured on it's own though!!!
    Would you have had to have it removed if it continued growing?

    Hope you have taken the day off and got a bit of relaxing in!!!

    Keep warm lovely xxxxxx
