It looks good to me too! I mean, the difference in size between week 6 and week 7 is the difference in size between a pea and a blueberry, so I think it has to be difficult to tell growth of your uterus or anything else just by eyeballing it. I agree with Liz that unless your u/s tech said specifically that wee babe hasn't grown, you probably won't be able to tell just from looking. Seeing the h/b and seeing how much it has increased is, to me, a great sign!!!! Please update us again as soon as you talk to your doctor.
Totally agree with everyone. You can't eyeball the size of the babe. They could have the magnification setting different this time than last.
HB is great rate. :-)
I think it looks really good! I agree with everyone else about the magnification setting being different. But you can for sure see the difference between last weeks and todays. The heartbeat is looking great, and they didn't see anything too alarming otherwise they would have sent you strait to the doctor. I hope the doc calls you soon.
Well she seems to still not be happy with the fluid amount. And she says that now my yolk sac is shaped oddly. The baby is four days behind in growth. And wants to repeat in a week, because she doesn't think that looks promising.
I did my own research and can't find any reason for alarm on those findings.
I think I'm switching drs. I don't like to be constantly worried. And I don't like that when I asked her WHY it wasn't promising, she didn't really have an answer for me. She said the growth wasn't good, but four days behind is not that much at all. I don't like drs who can't tell me why they are worried, or that might be worrying me for no reason. I really don't like that the fumbling trainee that did my ultrasound remeasured each thing 4 times and couldn't find my right ovary.
The heartbeat sped up perfectly, and the baby grew a decent amount. Four days behind is not enough to be concerned with, imo. So I'm just sticking with that, and will see someone new, and get their opinion.
Susan, I'm sorry that your doctor still isn't happy and is freaking you out. I'm with you, get a second opinion!

My doc at the time said they won't even change your due date unless the ultrasound measures 7 days or more off, because the accuracy for dating via ultrasound just isn't that great.
I so want to smack your dr upside the head!!!
Did she give you measurements?
Or just speel off all this doom and gloom!!!
Look on it this way...you're getting extra scans seeing your gorgeous bean!!! :)
Still want to smack the dr!!!
Since we are going out of town on Thursday, I can't get in to anyone before that.
So I set up an appointment with a very nice place, that has midwives (I'm excited for that, I really loved my last midwives) next Thursday afternoon, the 21st. I took my time, and looked, and found a place I really think will be great.
At the old clinic. I threw enough of a fit apparently. They are having the OB that's the head of the clinic do my next ultrasound, which will be next Friday, instead of my original doctor. He is highly recommended by lots of people. He took a look at my last one and told the nurse that there is a great heartbeat, and the baby is growing, and it's so hard to tell much else when they are this small. (nothing like doomed, low fluid, abnormal, etc) Honestly, I feel better just that he looked at it and didn't immediately decide that my pregnancy is a lost cause. In fact he sounds way more optomistic than the other dr.
So I will go back next Friday and will be about 9.5 weeks. I feel good about that. It will be like getting my second opinion, even if it's in the same clinic.
Good, I'm glad that you are getting another set of eyes on it, and one that comes highly recommended! Please let us know what the new dr says!
I'm glad you are getting a second opinion. It will put your mind at ease. That is a fantastic heartrate! I would stay positive! :)
