Just wanted to give an update on our situation..
Thanks to the advice of our acupuncturist (I'll call her P.) after she reviewed/tested us, we've changed our diet somewhat (cut out processed foods, eating organic meat & dairy & some produce) & we've both lost about 6lbs in 2 weeks so far which is a great motivator (for me anyway) to keep eating like this lol.
P. has also been doing nutrition response testing for us & given us personalized supplements & an herbal tincture for me to help our bodies detox & to regain optimal health. We're seeing her every week & after another 4 weeks, she'll re-evaluate us & from there we'll move on to a 12 week/90 day journey to better health! I figure if a pregnancy happens, it'll happen, if not, we've got a great plan for adoption ahead of us.
The best part is that P. has more than likely found the key to our "unexplained" infertility & is helping us to overcome that obstacle. Basically, the heavy metals in the immunizations I received as an infant/child, in combination with a virus, has wreaked havoc on my autoimmune system, which of course, affects my energy levels, inability to lose weight, hormones, etc.
Thanks to the detoxing, cleaner diet & whole food supplements to nourish my poor little overworked organs, I'm on my way to better health! (I totally sound like an infomercial there... sorry!!! lol)
I'd thought I was all set to start the adoption process next month, but the opportunity to go the acupuncture route was freely presenting itself & we decided God might be putting it in our path for a reason. We'll see what happens.........
Okay, sorry this was so long....
Sounds like things are heading in the right direction!
I'm glad that the acupuncturist is really helping you out with your fertility! I'm currently reading a book on infertility "The Infertility Cure" by Randine Lewis, it's very interesting. She highly recommends acupuncture to treat infertility. Almost makes me want to look into it...but of course I have to check with my transplant clinic first.
I hope it works out!
Good news! Hope it happens soon.
That all sounds fantastic Liss....I can't wait to see a sticky BFP very very soon!!!

Your acupuncturist sounds awesome! I got goosebumps reading your post and am SO EXCITED for you! I've been doing acupuncture for about 17 yrs now and love it.
I know what you mean about God placing things infront of you -- I just went to a herbals class yesterday and the instructor was talking about how our bodies are oceans and that we have to clear out the ocean in order to get things to work property and organs to heal and have a balance with our chemicals and hormones. She said that herbals and acupuncture work awesome together and I got goosebumps on it
I am going to make me up some chickweed tea to start a body cleanse for the next few weeks
Sophia - acupuncture is safe for transplant patients, you just have to be sure to let your acupuncturist know

Thank you, thank you ladies!!! It's so wonderful to have such a strong support system here... I'm trying not to get too excited because I always get excited when we try something different but then it never works out.. but this feels different... DH thinks so, too, so we'll see!!!
Tacie - awesome visual of our bodies being like oceans...!
