When you find out IVF is your only option...

After meeting with RE with new lab work-up on DH, I have been told my best chance - IVF with an egg donor or embryo donor.

DH found out he has low testosterone but he can't be on meds b/c it's not good for his elevated liver levels. Combine this with my low egg reserve and you get IVF.

In-laws have frozen embryos from their IVF three years ago. We will have them shipped to our clinic and should have enough embryos to get two shots at a pg. If the embryos don't work, we will have to use an egg donor IVF cycle.

This July, my IF journey will be three years. I can't believe it's taken this long to know WHY and therefore WHAT we can do.

I now know what a miracle my previous pg's were... and how truly unlucky my last tri18 loss was. If only I could defy the odds in the opposite direction - the direction towards a healthy delivery of a wonderful baby!!!

Hugs sweetie! It really sucks that those of us who would welcome a baby and be good parents have such a hard time. I hope all goes well with the IVF.

I too have been told donor embryos is the best option for us. It's a difficult thing to hear for sure. Wishing you all the best with your upcoming cycle this Spring! Smile

:bigarmhug: It's a hard pill to swallow. I remember all the details of sitting in our RE's office and talking about the chance of a pg with my eggs (abysmal) versus donor eggs (60%). If we hadn't lucked out when we did we would have proceeded with DE because I really wanted to experience pregnancy and birth. I hope you have a successful pregnancy one way or another in the near future!

I'm so sorry you are going through all this! I saw you said you were gonna try your in-laws embryo's... is this your brother/sister in law? I think it's so wonderful that they are willing to give them to you!

Sorry for the bad news but at least it looks like you have a good plan in place already! IVF is one of my worse fears as there is no way we could afford it. We only get one more round of IUI before we have to "re-evaluate" and if they say IVF then we are done!

Best of luck!
