Didn't want to start a discussion on the intro thread, so I just copied over here!
I don't have any special advice...I just wanted to say "Hi" and welcome! I am in the midst of my first IUI cycle right now, so maybe I'll have more advice after I get through the first one.It hasn't been too bad so far, but for various reasons, I think I'll probably be doing another one after this!

Thanks Jean - Good Luck to you and thank you very much for the warm welcome! I'm only a little bit behind you, I'm on cycle day 5 now and just started my cycle of clomid. My IUI is scheduled for CD 14. I will be thinking of you over the next two weeks and looking forward to updates on your progress.
Tried to add a ticker from fertilityfriend.com posting to check if I did it right![]()

You got it with the ticker! Looks great!
Cool that you are only a little behind me...we can compare notes! My RE does 2 days of IUI, so this morning was the 2nd, and I'm not on to that darn 2WW!
I hope this does the trick for both of us!

Will be thinking of you during this 2WW. I about went crazy last cycle, the engineer in me wants to have answers. I started tracking my temperature as that is something i can do every day to occupy myself. At least I can occupy my analytic mind with chart comparisons.
My RE only does 1 day of and encourages additional NR outside of IUI. Did you cramp or feel pain? Did they allow you to rest on the table for 20 min afterwards?
I feel really good about this cycle. A little anxious but good for both of us!

Yep, the geek in me started charting for the same reason...it gave me something to do that I could obsess over. It was very helping in giving me information, though, especially when it came to talk to the RE about what we going on.
I can't say I really felt any pain. It was a little uncomfortable...the first day from the dr who was a little less than delicate with the speculumand the 2nd day I had a little cramping as the dr was putting the tube through the cervix. But neither was bad at all! They did tell me to just stay put for 10 minutes or so afterward, so that was good. I've been a tiny bit crampy off and on ever since, but nothing bad. I think it's just because I'm hyper-aware of it at the moment.
Hopefully it'll be good news for both of us! The shots weren't nearly as bad as I expected, but I could do without having to do them again!![]()

I guess alot of procedures come down to the individual RE's style. It's good they had you lay down for a while. I've been reading some of the studies published and I believe the studies show there was an increase in probablity of success for patients who laid still on their back 15 min after the IUI. My RE said to plan on it and I wondered if any of the other RE's subscribed to that.
Really excited for you right now. I hope you are feeling great! I won't know till Tuesday if everything is good to go for mine. Keeping my fingers crossed!

The nurse called quite early with my b/w results. Apparently my progesterone is quite low. So I have to take my 2nd hcg shot tonight. That is supposed to do the trick to keep it up until they test. So much for getting to test early. It probably won't test out before I have my beta. Hoping it'll be good news then!
I'm excited for you...hopefully Tuesday will show everything ready to go!![]()

I hate that it is going to impact your abiliity to test early but it is a VERY good thing they catch the low progesterone. Fingers and Toes crossed for you!
