    Hello....

I'm also new to all of this TTC 'stuff'! I already said 'hi' over on the 0 -12 board, but at 35, I guess I could 'fit in' here as well!

Jenna... I totally understand your concerns about difficulties conceiving and genetic problems - I have the same worries myself! In an ideal world, we're hoping to get pregnant this fall - I'm a teacher so having a summer baby would be 'good timing' as I could take a year off then start back to work during 'normal' school year schedules! But we can't 'really' plan these things - it seems it's often more up to luck than anything else. I'm starting to chart my temps and such and hopefully that will help us 'time' things to give us the best chance - I guess that's all we can do!

You've certainly come to the right place here though - I've already learned so much from the posts on this site (sometimes TOO much!! LOL)

I'm new here, also. My DH and I just decided over the weekend to go ahead and try to conceive. I am 37 (38 in December) and DH is 41. We have never really tried to conceive so I'm hoping for fast results. My wish!!!

Hello, I'm new here. My husband and I decided to have another child at age 39 (both). We have one son that is 8. I thought we were though and now that we are older and settled it seems like the best time.

It's been a while since I've visited. I'm 41 my DH is 27. I have a daughter 13. We concieved 7/07 and lost the baby in September. After living in two different states, we are all finally together in NC and are finally ready to start again. Today I visited my new OBGYN. I swear he's young enough to be my son, lol. He gave me a script for Clomid to help my chances to concieve fast. Any thoughts? Keep us in your prayers!!!

    Default how does this work

Okay, this is crazy but I'm not really sure how to "post". I am 37 and single. I have been TTC for 10 months. Clomid + IUI. I did have a mc in Feb 2009 @ 8 w. 3 rounds since and all BFN's. Try not to get too upset but thats' impossible. This is my first round of clomid + folistem. Gave my 1st injection today. Not too bad. Have US scheduled on Thurs. So frustrated and sad. Just want a healthy baby.

    Hi all -

Need some encouragement and support like many others over 35 TTC. Am about to start my 3rd month trying. Just got LH surge so here we go again I guess....

Changed diet, vitamins, since last month of trying so please everyone I would really appreciate a little prayer for us to be blessed with a conception.

I have what are considered regular periods [maybe off by 1-2 days] some months but not considered irregular by Dr.
Past 3 months got LH surge on 12th day, then this month 11th day.

Really hard waiting for the time to try to begin, then really hard waiting to be able to take a pregnancy test, then be disappointed when period starts again.

Anyway, I know you guys can give me the mental boost I need - any advice would be great

thanks all and good luck to everyone here!

    Question New Here Too

Hi - I'm 35 & have been trying for 2 yrs natural and now 6 mos. with Hormone assistance (only 2 cycles out of 6 due to residual follicles). We will be trying our first IUI this cycle as our doctor says with age he doesn't think we should wait to move forward.

Any advice on steps to increase success chances? Last hormone cycle the nurse actually told me "I can't believe you didn't conceive as your numbers were great." For some reason it didn't make me feel any better.

Looking foward to some advice from veterans.
