CD 8 and Cramps

Well I'm frustrated already in the first month of Charting lol How pathetic is that. First off my BBT Therm is missing...so I've not been able to temp. So I think I'm gonna go get a pack of OPK's for this month, but the craziness for me is that I'm on CD8 and my Back is cramping like I do either for AF or for Ovulation. No EWCM, just clear which is normal for me, I'm usually clear leading up to Ovulating anyway... now I'm a bit confused on the Cervical Position and Checks....Anyone like to enlighten me as the first rounds of TTC with my 8year old I didn't check Cervial position and it was not on my chart that I use to use. Smile Thanks for letting me vent and for the :help1:

Hopefully, someone will correct me if I'm wrong! I haven't used cervical checks routinely in years, but if I remember right your cervix should be high, soft, and open at ovulation time. Someone else had asked not too long ago about their cervix always feeling a little open after birth. I haven't really spent much time getting to know my new cervix (part of why I just skip this and stick to temps and opks).

You are right Beth! CP has been one of my most consistant checks over the past year, every woman is a little different so regular monitoring is helpful to figure out what is normal for you, but in general the cervix should be Soft Hight Open and Wet during O time. I recomend tracking your CP if you are checking CM anyway (just make sure you check it in the same position every time, it can feel different if you are sitting vs laying down - for me anyway)

Any info on the CP Checks that would guide me through? Best position sitting, laying... when I had the Mirena 6 years ago I swear I had the worst time reaching up around the Cervix to string check. I appreciate the info ladies!! You've been quite helpful already!

For me I find it easiest to check CP while in the shower, (and everything is clean) with one leg up on the side of the tub. Otherwise I've done it sitting on the edge of the bed, just as easy I find to reach the cervix but less comfortable and there's often less privacy... lol
Hope it helps!
Are you on FF yet? I think you skip the temping and add the other info for this cycle.

I'm on the BBT chart here on pregnancy.org. I use to be on Fertility friend back in my old days of TTC! I've really got to get to know my cervix better. I was never really good at it when I had unexplained infertility with trying to Conceive Cade. I am adding all the other info on the chart here, but I find this chart not as informative for me...May go look at FF again. Thanks for the reminder Smile
