    Default Charting

Well, this is my first cycle of consistently charting everyday. But, I do not know what I am looking for. How can I tell I ovulated? CM wise, I am pretty sure I ovulated on CD 14, but how can I confirm that with my chart?

I'm not sure. But I think you can look at the Charting Forum and there is a tutorial thread sticky there.

If FF has temps from the first part of your cycle, it will figure this out for you. Usually. Now that you're charting, I'm pushing for opks, too.

I'm thinking you're right, Beth. OPKS next cycle for sure!

If you haven't read it yet, get Taking Charge of Your Fertility ASAP! That books answers so many questions about fertility, charting, and more. It's fantastic!

I agree that TCOYF is a great resource.

To shorthand it though, the gist is you get a drop in temp when you O and then your temps go up and stay up post O, usually until AF arrives when it comes back down to base a gain. You are talking with in tenths of degrees though, so it's important to have a BBT thermometer that has 2 digits after the decimal. I tried it for a while when I first started charting with a regular thermometer and didn't get very good charts that way.

If you chart on FF, you can also search out other's charts to see what different scenarios look like. Just keep in mind that no other chart will look exactly like yours, but you can see how the patterns change.

    Good luck this cycle! KUP!

I second the vote for TCOYF. I've recommended that book so many times I feel like I should receive royalties or something!

Can't wait to stalk your new and improved chart! Unless, of course, you're pregnant.
