Chat Thread Anyone?

How about a chat thread so we can keep up with everyone and their cycles?

Or should we separate out a chat thread from a "Waiting to O" thread and a "2ww" thread?

I would love to have a chat thread either way Smile

Great! So what's everyone up to this lovely month of June? Where is everyone at in their cycles? How many kiddos do you have? Do you want a boy or girl for your first or next baby?

AFM-I'm working and studying a lot this month. I'm an architect and I have to take a bunch of tests before I get my actual professional license. So I'm putting my head in the books to get through this 2ww, which started today. The last 2ww, I spent most of my hours googling phantom symptoms. I cannot do that this time. Haha. I have no kiddos, I'm trying for my first and I think I'm leaning towards wanting a boy for my first. But really I would love a boy or girl.

I'll join in. I've just started a new cycle, so I'm in the WTO group. On clomid, charting temps and using opk's.
Not much going on here, getting new kitchen cabinets. Hoping that they will be done before our anniversary at the end of the month!
Eliann- hope your 2ww passes quickly for you and you get a +!

I'm Still waiting to O according to OPK's but BD occassionally just in case Smile We have one daughter. She's 2 years and 7 months tomorrow. This will be our last baby for health reasons. I have had two ectopics and have been lucky enough not to lose a tube or have any other serious complications from it, so hopefully we will be able to have one more healthy baby and then we will stop. I've always wanted to adopt also but that would have to wait until after we buy our 1st home. Because this is possibly our last ever we both really want a boy. We would love to have one of each but, a girl would be much cheaper haha. We only have about 20 totes of girl clothes stashed away.

I'm off school at the moment. I'm working on my degree in Early Childhood education. That means I'm home with my daughter Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, which I love Smile Monday and Friday I'm working at an home daycare and Ash gets to spend one day a week with each of her grandmas. Ashlynn and I are going to the free summer series shows at a local theatre once a week. We are also going to go out of town for Father's Day weekend to Relax and swim and have no responsibilities Smile That will be during my TWW so I'm hoping it will help pass the time ! I am planning on testing the first time the 23rd but my best friends baby shower is the 24th ... So I might wait until after the shower instead. I probably won't be able to hold out that long.

Hi ladies! I'm in the waiting to O category but I don't really pay much attention to it these days (thank goodness!) I spent way too many days/month/year obsessing and it caused way too much heartache. I got testing done and tried Clomid and still nothing. I am not sure if I am even able to have children so now I just go at with a JLIH attitude and if it happens, yay! If not, well then it wasn't meant to be.

I am currently in the process of getting enrolled for college this fall (for the first time and after being out of school for 6 years, yikes!) so that is taking up a lot of time right now which is good and exciting! Smile

Megan - I am sorry you had ectopic pregnancies. That must have been so scary! Thank goodness your tubes weren't affected or any other serious complications. I hope you get pregnant right away and that you have a very healthy pregnancy.

Pam - Is this your first cycle using Clomid? If not, how does it affect you? Any bizzare symptoms? How exciting about the cabinets! DH and I remodeled our kitchen in 2010 and it felt almost like Christmas came early! Smile Anyways, fingers crossed this is the month for you!

Michelle- this will be my second round of clomid for this time (took two rounds with my first pregnancy). I didn't have any symptoms that I can remember with the first, but last month I had some pretty strong cramps for about a week after I took it. I'm super excited about the cabinets. I only have two drawers with my current ones...no storage or counter space either. Good luck with college!

June is a busy month for me. I have my wedding shower coming up this weekend, and a bunch of birthdays/birthday parties this month too. We've been doing a reno on our house, so I still need to putty and sand the nail holes in the trim around the ENTIRE house (FML), and prime/paint it too. The goal is to have that done before the wedding on Sept. 1st.

I'm in the TWW now, hoping to test this Sunday if AF doesn't show first. I'm spotting, which is typical at this point in my cycle, so my hopes aren't high of getting a BFP this month. I took two months off of temping, but picked up a load of OPKs to fill in the gaps. Now I'm doing both though. FH is extremely helpful when it comes to charting, and reminds me to take my temp in the morning. Sometimes I wake up to him putting it in my mouth, LOL! LOVE the FF iPhone app, makes charting SO much easier.

We don't have kids yet, but we can't wait, hence TTC prior to the wedding! I would obviously take either, but would love to have a girl first. FH's family is almost entirely male, we need some more females over here!

Really hoping that my stay here is short, but looking forward to getting to know you ladies! Elizabeth (eliann) and I have been over on the TOC board for a while, glad we're making the switch to TTC together!

I'm in limbo, WTO/waiting for AF, not really in the TWW. Annovulatory cycle with some spotting but FF keeps flipping back and forth between and O on CD 28 and no O so I started a new cycle as of the first day of spotting, easier that way.

We were planning a break after a year and a half of TTC (started in Nov 2010) but since I got a call for an appointment with the OB after a 7 month wait we're going to keep at it for now. Waiting to see what she says next month and decide on a course of action from there. I have an u/s scheduled to check my ovaries for cysts but that's not till November and if I have to wait until after that for treatment then we'll take a break until then.

I have a DD from my previous marriage so we know I can have kids in theory and DH's S/A came back normal, but I have a history of irregular cycles so I'm hoping we can try something. Adoption is still on our radar but I want a new baby so bad it hurts.

Crystal - I can't believe that you have to wait that long for a U/S! Do you know if you already have cysts, or do you suspect that you do? I had a U/S back at the beginning of March to diagnose excruciating abdominal pain, but this was 3-4 days after a car accident. I didn't even know that I had cysts until one ruptured. I wonder if the reason why I got in so quick for the U/S was because of the accident, or if the stars aligned or something.. somehow, they had a cancellation within the hour of me being in emerg, so I got in as fast as I could drink the req'd amount of water.

Hopefully you're able to get some answers once you get to meet with the Dr.

Jessica, we suspect I have cysts, we know I've had one in the past because it ruptured (I know just how painful that can be!). Our health system here in NB is excruciatingly slow, in Northern NB it's even more so! My OB appointment took 7 months on the urgent wait list, God forbid if I was any younger, I'd still be waiting....

That is ridiculous Crystal ! I can't even imagine having to wait that long to see my OB. I would freak out.

Laina-That's awesome about the cabinets! You should post a pic when its all installed! I would love to see it!

Megan-Where are you going for father's day? Sounds like a fun weekend of no responsibilities. Love those. And sorry about your ectoptic, that does sound scary. Thank goodness you had no complications.

Michelle-I'm sorry it hasn't worked out yet. JLIH could be the way to go. My friend tried for 3 years, got pregnant with her first doing an IUI and then she got pregnant with her 2nd on accident. If JLIH is less stressful for you, I think it might be worth it. I found that JLIH for the past few months I was more on edge, because I had no idea what my body was doing and when. Hoping that the charting works in my favor. Although I haven't starting temping yet, I think temping sounds stressful.

Jessica-Yay! Happy Wedding shower! I'm liking FF too. I was using another app, but it doesn't keep as detailed info as FF...I've made the official switch!

Crystal-Sorry its taking so long. Breaks are good every now and then, but I hope your OB appointment sheds some new light and you get a BFP soon. I would love to adopt! I hope that we adopt a baby/toddler after we have our own! I will probably give TTC a 1.5 year timeframe before I start an adoption process.

Me-2dpo here and feely twingy. I know, I know...its nothing. But man, you sure do feel every little thing when you are in the TWW. Today sucked. Our shower backed up, we had to call a plumber. The dog poo'd in the house randomly (she never does this). I had to work overtime and my boss asked me to come in over the weekend as well. Blah. Oh and I cooked dinner and put it on a plate that I thought was dry, but it had water on it, so my dinner got all soggy. Gross. I could really use a glass of wine right about now, but I can't because of this 2ww. Hoping for a more lovely day tomorrow.

Crystal - Yeesh! It's not too bad here in Ontario, that I know of anyways. I always end up booking my annual physicals a year in advance on the day I go in for one. My GP is also my OB. Usually when I call for an appointment though, I can get in within a couple of weeks, or even earlier if I ask to be on a cancellation list! Stories like yours make non-Canadians go  over our healthcare system.

Elizabeth - The FF app was actually one of the apps that made me most excited to switch from a blackberry to an iphone. I *hated* the FF mobile site for blackberry. Totally looking forward to the shower, it's going to be great to see everyone, we don't all get together like this often!

We are going to a condo about an hour and a half from where we live for the weekend. There is no Internet and pretty much everything is a half hour drive so we can disconnect from the rest of the world and just be a family Smile

In July we are going to take our "vacation" to Texas, hopefully to Galveston to be by the beach! My Broher in law lives in houston and we havnt seen him since Thanksgiving. We are still waiting for my husband to get confirmation of his time off. He is a cook and they are shorthanded at the moment.

Eliann - I hope your week got better !

Awesome sounds like a great weekend! I need a no device weekend. We get stuck in the "technology loop." It's nice to disconnect from the world for awhile.

Galveston sounds like so much fun! Our family used to vacation there every summer growing up. We would usually camp on the beach though. I haven't been in awhile. My dad and brother make a couple trips down there every summer to go fishing. It's so hot there in the summer though. You are crazy to go in July. Haha.

It's funny, we are switching places for summer vacation. I'm going to Chicago in August. DH and I lived in Chicago for 2 years while he went to grad school. We are going to visit some friends and enjoy the city that we miss so much.

Jessica-did you test? I'm anxiously waiting for your bfp news. Hope you get a + this weekend.

AFM-Working today. Taking a break right now to eat and then tonight I'm going to a housewarming party. Not sure what I will do about tonight, there will be alcohol and I don't want to drink, but my friends will surely know whats up and I don't want them to know we are trying. Any ideas? I might just say I've been having migraines, which is sort of true. I'm 5dpo, and its going by so so slow. I'm starting to feel like I'm getting sick, I'm achy all over and low energy. I came home from work yesterday and I crashed. I know, still too early. But I can't help but think maybe its a sign.

I work at a Daycare and my boss' vacation is in July which means my vacation is in July Smile Haha. Hopefully we will survive the heat. It might be interesting with a 2 year old and a hopefully pregnant me !

That is funny that we will be swapping states. We live closer to St. Louis but I have family in Chicago and I love to go up there.

I have a group of three best friends and I'm going to a bar Tuesday night with two of them for dinner. The four of us have been friends for 18 years. I want to tell them all at the same time and our fourth part is coming home (from Texas!) in August, so I'm just going to tell them I haven't been feeling well that day and don't want to drink and make it worse. They might buy it or they might not Smile I usually always have a Margarita when we go out.

Aaaaand scratch that! I mentioned my love for divacups in another thread, and lo and behold, AF appears! Super bummed about that, so looks like we'll be trying for a March baby now.

This cycle is just creeping by. I feel as if years have gone by in these past 9 days. And I'm working a lot too. I think its because I've been working 12 hour days so I've just been awake longer. So yep 9dpo today and I broke down and tested. Negative.

Megan-Your friend outing sounds fun! Margaritas are the bomb and if I get my period next week, I will be treating myself to one.

Jessica-Sorry again about AF. Hate AF. Seriously if I didn't want kids, I would do something to get rid of her forever. I've been wanting to try divacups. Maybe I will try it soon. I have a hard time with tampons though, is the divacup even harder to get in? I switched to cloth pads about a year ago because my flow became way too light to wear tampons...they would get stuck up there (Ouch!!!). Cloth pads are fine, but they are a pain to keep up with, cleaning and all. Sorry if that was way too much TMI.

Elizabeth - Just saw that your ticker is showing CD2, sorry Sad Looks like we're still in this together! I think you're the first person I've come across on pg.org with the same TTC start date, maybe we'll end up on the same BB some day? How is temping going for you now? Are you getting the hang of it?

I just went to see my doctor today for my annual physical, asked a few questions about TTC. The short story is that he doesn't see any issue with us TTC even though FH goes for regular CT scans and MRIs, said that I won't need the rhogam shot since both FH and I are + blood types, and that since we're both young and healthy, we're good to go. I was happy to hear all of that, but a little bummed that he said that he'd still suggest actively trying for a year before sending FH for a semen analysis, despite his health history. I typically would understand, but FH had one testicle removed just over a year ago, and all we can do is cross our fingers that the other one works as it should!! If a year comes and goes without getting pg, he has the SA done, and we find out that there was something else we could have done, I'll be a bit upset, even though I love my doctor!

Realized I forgot to answer this!

In a nutshell, the diva cup is AMAZING. I always hated pads, and same deal with tampons. I always always worried about leaking too. I switched to cloth pads/liners for light days, and use the diva cup for the real flow. It took about 2 cycles to get used to, so I always tell everyone to give it at least a couple of months. I know you can find some pretty good deals on them, but I paid $50 for the one I have, and have been using it for years now. Compare that against what you pay monthly for pads and tampons, and it's easy to see that it's a good investment!

Yep, AF showed. DH was super bummed. Suddenly he has baby fever. I haven't started temping. I'm going to have to change my whole setup in order to do it. I use my phone as an alarm, but the only outlet in my room is far from my bed, so I have to get up to shut it off or else the dog will go crazy. So I need to setup an extension cor in order to temp every morning. Lol.

Jessica, you are on CD14, your 2ww is coming up. Hope this cycle works out for you.

Megan, congrats on your BFP! I was lurking in the BB and saw that! How exciting.

Pam, I hpe you get a +opk soon.

AFM-I had a great week until Thursday when my tire exploded on the highway and I spun out and lost control of my car. I'm ok, but it was really scary and my car has a lot of damage. I just got some scholarship money for my arch exams, sucks that I have to spend it all on getting my car fixed.

Elizabeth - Yikes! Glad to hear that it's only car damage and that you weren't injured! Scary stuff.. I was in a head-on collision back in Feb., and it's terrifying when you know you don't have control!

Maybe that's all your DH needed! The realization that it's just not "that easy" seems to come as a shock sometimes. I know you mentioned that you use the FF app too, try the alarm within the app! If you respond to that alarm, it takes you right into a screen to add your temp, I find it easy to go right back to sleep after that. Can you tell that I love the app!? LOL. It has made my life much easier.

Megan and Crystal - Congrats on your BFPs!

I'm not super keen on a March Edd for me, but want a bub born before the end of June because that is the school cut off here so have to take what I can get/ I guess. Still holding out for June though, hubby gets a baby born the same month as him I want one too Smile

Yep, still trying for March too. My edd would be March 27th or so if it worked this cycle. I'm feeling positive for this cycle. I just have a feeling its going to happen for some reason. If I'm worng, I'm wrong and I will deal with it. Just trying to keep my head up.
