I couldn't help myself. I tested at 9 DPO, a bit early. -And I did it in the afternoon, not the morning. I got a faint line. I read that even a faint line is probably positive, but I am so afraid to get my hopes up. The next few days of waiting to retest is going to be brutal. Have any of you ever had a faint line?

I believe if you get a faint line early on there's a good chance that you will continue to test positive. I've heard most people say that when they get a faint line they test with FMU over the next few days and if they are that faint line gets darker pretty quickly. Hope you get your obvious BFP! From what I understand, you can't get a false positive, only a false negative. What kind of test did you use? I guess blue dye tests can run or something and make you think there is a line when there isn't. Test again in a couple days. Good luck! And you are not helping me be patient...I am 9 dpo tomorrow and trying so hard not to cave! Hearing that you got a faint pos makes me want to test too! Although, on the other hand, maybe if I wait a couple days more I might get a nice dark BFP.

Maggie - I caved after looking at some charts of ladies who were pregnant and tested positive really early. I was trying to wait until tomorrow morning at least, but... Anyhow, I am hoping for a more definite BFP this weekend. Crossing my fingers - and for you too!

Leah - I used Walmart's (Equate) early response test. I'll probably take the other one (2 pk) tomorrow and buy a digital for this weekend. It will take a lot for me to believe it's true - even with a BFP. With my last pregnancy, it didn't really kick in until my first doctor appointment. It seemed to good to be true.

Lastly, I had a BBT spike last night. Not only was my BBT high this morning, but my regular temp this afternoon was over 99 degrees. I am SO hoping this is a good sign.

I understand not believing it's true until the first appointment. I think I'd be the same way. My DH says he has a great feeling about this cycle but I can't let myself feel too much about it yet. I get so down when I'm not and I'm trying to avoid that this time. I got a faint positive with our first cycle TTC but either it was false or it was a chemical. I started bleeding a day after that and it was negative after that and was negative on blood tests. I think it'll be so hard to believe it's true when it does happen. Good luck to you! Took another HPT, and the result was another faint line. It was slightly darker and more solid this time. I think it's for real, but I'm going to buy a digital and take another one Saturday morning. Hopefully, I will get my solid confirmation. It's 3am here in Arizona, and I can't sleep. How am I going to think about anything else this weekend?

For those interested in symptoms, I haven't really had many. I had really sensitive BB's right after ovulation, but they aren't bad right now. I had a high temp. , slight nausea, and diarrhea (sorry for TMI) last night. I could have just made myself sick from nerves for all I know. So far, not much to go on, but I didn't have anything with my first pregnancy. I didn't vomit even once. I just had a strange bloated, crampy feeling and a missed period that time. I guess we'll see! I'll know more in a couple of days and keep you posted.

Yup!! My first bfp this time was a very faint line! Ummmm, where's the pic? We demand pics for these things!! How are we supposed to properly obsess with you if we don't have pictures!? Congrats!!!!
