How long does an OPK usually stay positive?

I took the first OPK on Oct 10th. My husband and I bded on that night. Then I took the 2nd OPK this morning and it still looks pretty positive to me today? Is this normal? Need some opinions! Thank you Lindsay

Did you take any others in between? (or leading up to the first +ve)?
I agree they both look positive, just wondering if maybe your body was gearing up to O but didn't?

You can get a positive a couple days in a row -- usually after a positive you will ovulate 12 - 48 hours later. So, if you caught it early in the cycle of ovulation, you could test positive more than one day.

It varies. You could get a positive on an OPK for a full day or more if you test several times or you could have one surge that lasts a couple of hours and if you don't test in that time frame you might miss it. If I get them darker and darker and then lighter without ever getting a full on positive, I just assume that I missed the big surge. My policy is always to DTD when the start getting darker, then if they start to get lighter really DTD as you could be Oing any time.
