Default I am not sure what to think...

Okay ladies...Here's the deal. AF is two weeks late for me and I have absolutely so signs of her coming. I poas about 5 days ago and got a BFN. TMI alert- I have been having a lot of cervical mucus and usually before I get AF I have none what so ever. I'm nauseated and my breasts are "plumper" to quote DH. But my brain could be playing games as we all know how that goes. Anyways...I poas tonight and I got a second line

But here's my concern. It is really, really light. It is the same width as the control line but it is pale, pale, pale pink. The line showed up at 2 minutes. I don't know much about evaporation lines so any input would be fantastic

Also, I am definitely testing with FMU tomorrow.

Oh, and I would post a pic but the only camera I have is my phone and it blurs it to where you can't see anything.

I think it's possible that you implanted late and it just took longer to show up because of that maybe. I've heard of a lot of people not getting positives until a while after their missed AF. I've also heard that sometimes lines are lighter not because the hcg is lower but because they don't use as much dye when they make some of the tests. Also is it possible you ovulated later than you think? That could be a contributing factor also. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you are and everything is great! Can't wait to hear how the FMU one goes. Good luck sweetie!

The intensity of the line doesn't matter. What matters is whether the line has color. What kind of test did you use? And have you poas this morning?

I did poas this morning and got a BFN. I tested both times with the dollar tree "New choice" I believe they are called. Sooo....looks like it was a false positive...Don't think I will buy those anymore. I think I will stick with the answer tests and if AF continues to not show for a few more days then I will test again. Looks like the wait continues...

    Argh...

How frustrating! Have you been having regular periods since you stopped bcps?

Michelle I'm so sorry you're dealing with this! I hope it was just an accident or something and you've got a BFP on the way. I will say that I have had 3 false positives in 3 separate months with the dollar tests. I don't know if the ones you're using are the exact same ones I'm using but I definitely don't trust the dollar brands anymore. It sucks to get your hopes up so much and then feel like it's just a mistake or something. I hope in your case the BFNs are somehow a mistake and you get your BFP! Good luck!

After coming off of BCP my periods were regular. The first couple months were a little off but they straightened right up after that. My cycles have been between 33 and 35 days, usually 33 days though.

I'm not really sure what's going on. I am just going to have to make a Dr's. appt if I don't get AF in the next week to week and a half. By then it will be close to two months since the first day of my last cycle.

I'm so sorry you're stuck in this place right now. It's miserable. I doubt BCP would cause that if your cycles were more normal for a while. I think our cycles just do weird things sometimes and we're more aware of it when we're TTC. I agree that if AF doesn't show and you don't get your BFP you should call the doctor to see what they have to say. Hopefully you're just one of those rare women that isn't testing positive yet. I hope you get a BFP soon sweetie! Good luck!

Wow! I completely understand what you are going through!!! That sounds so much like me it's really almost frightening.
I eventually got fed up and started BCP to try to get my body back on track, I did finally get AF although it was a weird one since it was much lighter and longer than normal with no pain or other symptoms (unlike when I was on BPC before) and it took a full week once I stopped taking them for AF to start. I'm now waiting to O and using OPK's but nothing yet.
I would definately suggest seeing your doc and waiting it out. I feel like I messed myself up even more by tring to get back on track!

Hugs and good luck! Hopefully it turns out better for you than it has me!
