If I'm not pg this cycle...

... I'm probably not going to be TTC for a while. I have been in contact with a new doctor who thinks odds are very good I have endometriosis, and so I'm probably going to be having surgery sometime around December or January. So if I'm not pg right now, it'll probably be March before we can TTC again.

I'm really impressed with this doctor, by the way. They couldn't have received my records earlier than Friday afternoon, and he called me yesterday two and a half hours after his office had closed to discuss things with me. He thinks my symptoms are either from endo or adenomyosis. Hopefully it's endo, because really the only ways to effectively treat adenomysis are BC and hysterectomy. This surgeon has an excellent track record for curing endo with surgery (about 90% of his patients never need a second laparascopy), so if I have it, there's an excellent chance I'll have at a late 2012 or early 2013 baby.

Anyway, that's what's up with me right now. I hope things are going well with everyone else!

Well, hopefully you are pg this month!

It sounds like you've found a great doctor! Awesome that he got back to you so quickly. I had to fill out like a 7 page report when I consulted with my doctor, and he also could pretty much tell I had endo just from that, and contacted me immediately to schedule an appt.

I had to take a similar break last year when we were diagnosing my endo. It was a few months before we could try again, too. It was kind of nice to not have TTC on my mind for a while.

I think it is pretty common to have both endo and adenomyosis. I have both. They can't do anything surgically (besides hysterectomy) about the adenomyosis, but according to my doctor, and my sister's, it does not affect getting pregnant. It causes the really heavy, painful periods, etc. though. But honestly, mine have not been nearly as bad since my surgery, even though nothing was done about the adenomyosis.

Keep us posted on how things are progressing and if/when you have surgery. Good luck!

I hope you are pregnant this month! If you're not though at least you know you should be in good hands for having the surgery. If you have either one, from what I've heard, after the surgery you'll feel a lot better and AF won't be so horrible and painful.

I hope it all works out for you and that you have a baby soon! Good luck with everything sweetie!

Glad you found a doctor you trust! Hopefully, you won't have to worry about it after this cycle, but it's nice to have a doctor respond so quickly.

I'm sorry to hear that you have to put off TTC, but I'm glad that you have a good doctor and can get taken care of properly. I hope you are back on the TTC wagon sooner rather than later. And if you happen to be pg this month, that will be a super bonus!
