Missed my surge?

Think it's possible? Last night I was *this close* to a positive OPK, and today, back to fading out. Is it possible I surged last night while I was sleeping. The last three days have had tons of EWCM and am now kinda....drying out.

I'm certain I O'd. By temps, I already do every month, but was on Clomid this month, so I think I should have "super O'd" but I wonder how come I never got a positive?

I have heard that yes, you can miss the surge. Oddly enough, this month I too, never got a positive (using digitals), but am 99% that I've already ovulated. I googled it once and there are women out there who never got a positive, but still managed to get pregnant that month so they obviously ovulated!

I know my surge has been really short, because I've caught it by testing 2x/day, and have only gotten 1 positive the previous few months. Years past, I used to get 2 or 3 days in a row(once even 4-and conceived that month) and I was only testing 1x/day. Unless the tests are less sensitive now? I wasn't using digitals then.

Anyway, I would definitely believe your temps more than anything. I don't know if Clomid would have anything to do with it. I thought maybe I missed mine by being overhydrated-I always try to drink a lot of water during that time but maybe it messes with those OPK's.

I suppose it could be possible that you had your surge when you weren't taking the test which means you could be ovulating today. It could also mean maybe that you just haven't yet. I think sometimes LH can fluctuate here and there a little. This is my first month of Clomid and my doctor told me not to worry about taking OPKs since they were going to do a progesterone test anyway. They just gave us a BD schedule and said if we stuck to that we wouldn't miss O. I was pretty positive when I O'd though because it was pretty intense this month on the Clomid. Maybe the timing of your LH was just off with the times that you took the tests and you just didn't see it but it did happen. Is your doctor doing any tests to make sure that you're ovulating while on Clomid? Did you ovulate before you started taking Clomid?

Leah: I was only on Clomid this month as part of the Clomid Challenge Test to check ovarian reserves. I O every month on my own (as far as I know--almost always get a positive OPK and have a definite temp shift). So no, they're not going to run a 21 day progesterone check on me. I'm just curious about it, since I had ALL my other O signs and symptoms and thought for sure I would get a positive today.

I have a few more tests, so I'll keep testing, but won't be super shocked if my temp starts going up tomorrow....

So odd.....

That sounds good. I ovulated without Clomid too but instead of doing other tests my doc is just doing the day 21 progesterone test. I have mild PCOS so the plan was always for me to take it and I've been monitored pretty closely so as of now they're just doing the day 21 progesterone. I imagine if I don't get a BFP this month they'll probably run some other tests before they'll let me take it again next month. I would think if you ovulate okay without it you probably will ovulate with it with no problem. Good luck! I hope it all works out for you and this is your month! Smile

Well...........considering the temp this morning I'm going to say I probably O'd yesterday, or my body is just playing weird tricks on me.
