Mixed Signals?

I feel like I'm getting mixed signals and it's causing my anxiety level to rise! I'm on CD 8, and usually o around day 11 or 12. Took an OPK today, just to see, and it was totally clear - I mean the there was not even a hint of colour on the test line. Not totally surprising, as it's a bit early, but not ridiculously early. So it totally doesn't make sense to me that I swear I have EWCM. BBT hasn't risen, so that's a good sign (as in we haven't missed anything yet). The EWCM is TOTALLY throwing me off, and causing me to doubt the OPK.

We'll BD tonight to be sure, but I really hate these mixed signals. I would much rather some sort of flashing light to clearly appear somewhere on my body, telling me exactly when to have sex. That would be WAY easier!

Agreed. I'd like the flashing cards as well. Wouldn't life be so much easier for all ;).

I'm sorry your going through this, maybe something isn't correct. Did you recheck everything. It is only cd 8 so I'm sure it's just a little early how about redoing it today or tomorrow. Maybe that will change.

Are your cycles regular? How long have you been off BC? (if you were ever on it ;))
Just think how lucky our DH's are. Having DTD on a regular, they may actually want to have more babies because of all the activity hehe

Thanks! In think it's just too early. Got a faint line today and temp is still down.

Haven't been on BC since before DD so that's not it. Cycles are pretty regular - about 25 days, but a few months ago it was 30 days, which totally threw me off.

This is the month...I'm staying positive!

I usually have EWCM a day or 2 AFTER I get ovulation pains. I am just gonna BD every day that whole fertile week to make sure! LOL Good luck to you!

Interesting...!
I'm still getting mixed signals. I should trust the opk...it's still pretty early (CD10). DH is out tonight, which stresses me out - I told him to wake me when he gets home...lol

What's opk saying?

Opk is negative. Temp is up, and it's starting to look like I O'd on CD 9. Which is just so early. We BD'd on CD 8 and 10, will keep testing and charting because I really feel like it's too early. I just don't know what to trust a temp vs OPK (of which I did 2 yesterday just to make sure it was negative).

I think I'd trust the opk....but now I'm starting to wonder. Augh frustrating!!
DTD everyday. Better safe than sorry?

Katie I followed your advice, trusted the OPK and I think it was a wise decision. Temp dropped back down today and line on OPK is getting darker. I suspect it will be positive today. I'll be in the TWW soon enough!

For some reason I thought I'd already replied to this thread.

Have you considered it could be your DH's sperm and you mistook it for EWCM? They have similar properties (hence EWCM is most fertile and friendly to sperm) so they could be confused. If you BD'd a day or so before it could have been sperm. In any case, my advice is always; When in doubt, BD!! I've had confusing symptoms before like that, too. Just shrug your shoulders and drag your DH to bed! BowChickaWowWow!
