Okay - so DH and I have been thinking about getting a jogging stroller so we can jog together and obviously bring the little one. We have an option to get a double stroller that someone is selling for like $65. My question is, do we spend the money on a double stroller, when we don't know when or if we'll get pregnant again...... or do we buy a used single stroller and try to sell that if we get pregnant and then get a double? and can you use a double with just one kid?
Some double strollers you can use with just one kid and others you really can't. I don't remember the names of which is which, but when I was researching doubles, some had reviews that said you could use it with one and others had reviews that said you couldn't and had to put some sort of weight in the second seat to get it to work right.
We got a single jogger after DD was born and then recently got a double since we now have 2 kids. While I'm certain you will have a second child, I think for ease of use you might want to get a single for now. Since jogging strollers aren't recommended for infants until they are 4 to 6 months old, you'll be using the single for a while. Then when you do have the second kiddo, you can use the single as a trade towards the double, maybe. Or just sell it and put the money towards the double. I hope some of that helps a little. What kind of stroller is it that you are looking at right now?
ah, good point Anna about not even being able to use it til the other baby would be 4-6 months old..... i think we're def. going to go with a single for now, since it'd probably be over a year before we could even use it with 2....if the treatment worked in Jan.
we're looking at a single used Baby trend stroller.
