OPKs

Hello all!

I was here about 4 years ago when I was TTC the first time. Now we are trying again (sort of). I took an OPK yesterday around 9 at night. It was very positive :yay: I also took one this morning and it was still positive but not as much. I was going to post pics but can't get them on my computer. Anyways I'm a bit rusty on all the fertility stuff so does this mean I O'ed yesterday or will sometime today? If AF hasn't arrived around the 24th or so do you think it would be a good time to test? My LP is 14 days. I really hope this works. It took me about two years to conceive the first time and we had to do IVF Sad I really hope we have better luck this time around.

Thanks so much,
Lindsay

Typically, you ovulate 12-36 hours after your first positive OPK. If you take the "in the middle", you will ovulate 9pm today, making Tuesday 1dpo. By April 24th, with a 14 day LP, AF would offically be late. It would be a good testing day.

:goodluck:

Are you temping, too? Temps are the best way to determine o date after the fact. Doesn't help with pre-planning, but helps to know how many days you are past o. I'm kind of in the same boat. We went through a couple of IVF cycles to get pg with DS1; now we're hoping to get pg naturally. From what I've been told, it can be easier the second time around. Why did you need IVF previously?

I had scar tissue from an appendicitis when I was younger but when I had my c-section with my twins the doctor removed the scar tissue. I still have PCOS but hoping that if my body will ovulate that I will be able to get pregnant on our own. This is really our first cycle trying.

I would definitely temp if you aren't sure if you're ovulating. That way you can keep track for a few cycles and if you aren't ovulating you will know sooner rather than later.
