If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would it be and why?
I would want to meet my father's mother who died before I was born. I have heard from so many relatives what a warm and generous person she was.
My husbands great great grandmother .. Everybody always talks about how good a person she was
My husband's grandfather, who died either the year before or the year after DH was born. He was born in 1896 in Korea and came to the US to go to college in the 1920's - back when that was a really rare thing to do. When the Japanese occupied Korea and tried to make Koreans take Japanese names and speak Japanese, DH's grandfather resisted and was apparently tortured for it. And he was really important in the South Korean government during or right after the Korean War. He met President Truman as a representative of the Korean government, and toured the US looking at factories and such. I saw a bunch of newspaper articles about his factory tours one time at my in-laws' house.
So, yeah. I'd love to meet him and just listen to him talk about his life. I just hope he would have approved of me marrying his grandson.
I would want to meet my grandmothers friend, Maija, who was like another grandmother to me. She had type 2 parkinsons, and we never got to properly say goodbye, since in her final months she wasn't all there anymore due to the disease taking over. She was an amazing person, and I cherish her so much, just like my on grandmother. I want to ask a lot of things. I want to also get a hold of her cookie recipe, no one can imitate it and I want to know WHY! And I want to tell her how much we miss her.
Dead- Audrey Hepburn
Alive- Garth Brooks
Edit- forgot the why part!
WHY? Because I love them both and have been a huge fan for as long as I can remember! Our bedroom is nothing but Audrey Hepburn!
