What are 3 things your "dream kitchen" would have to have?
I would love to have an outdoor component, like a sliding door that opens up to the exterior so the counter could be used as a bar. Like this
I would also like a custom counter top. I'm not a fan of granite! I'm the only I know that says that. I do like more monochromatic stones like caesarstone, but I also love recycled glass counters, concrete counters and wood butcherblock counters.
I would also want the sink to be a touch lower than normal height, since I am short.
And while we are dreaming, I will add that I would love to have Miele appliances. They are so sleek.
Ahh... I replied, and hit 'reply to thread' instead of 'post quick reply', I fail.
We just re-did our kitchen, so I feel lucky to have picked a lot of what we have. With that said, if budget was not an issue, I agree with Elizabeth and access to an outdoor space. It'd be nice to have an eat-in area in the kitchen, we opted to have more counter and storage space instead of a table, I'll have to post a pic some day so you can see. Also, I would LOVE to have radiant heat under the tile.. the floor is so cold!
When I posted this thread, I did it because of how frequently I need 2 ovens, so that is a must have for my next kitchen. I also need way more counter space and storage space. But for my dream kitchen it would already have all that so I would love that open to the outside deal.
Elizabeth, I totally pinned that link you posted! Nice! And I would have my counters and sink a touch higher than the norm because I'm a little taller and I hate having to hunker over. I would also LOVE a commercial gas range - you know, those with like 6 burners! Nice!
