    Default Question about OPKs

I thought I was being all smart buying cheaper OPKs online, but i'm a little confused about the readings I have been getting the past few months. I was testing using FMU since my OPKs said it was fine and then occasionally later in the afternoon. I noticed my morning OPK's are the closest I ever got to positive, but the afternoon OPK from the same day wouldn't even have a faint line. Can I just conclude that my FMU causes false positives, or is my surge really dying that quickly?

I don't think the FMU will be causing false positives... I've had positives with FMU, usually after having an 'almost positive' the afternnon/evening before...

Is it possible that when you test in the afternoon that your pee is too diluted to give an accurate reading of your LH? do you hold off on drinking anything and try to hold it in for a few hours before testing?

I had held it for several hours, but I did drink a massive cup of coffee so it's possible it was diluted a bit even though it was still very yellow. Seems like my FMU's are the most consistent as far as readings so you are probably right!
