    Question Shorter cycle

My cycle is getting shorter....I am starting to worry. I usually have 28 day cycles and now my last cycle was 25 days. What is going on?

Were you charting your last cycle? Do you know if you ovulated early? Or how long your luteal phase was?

how long was your LP? i think that's the only time it's an issue when your LP is less then 10? I've heard that women who have a LP less then 10 will get clomid and it straightens it out? I dunno....

What they said, do you know when you O? Some people's cycles become shorter on the front end which is mostly fine. Other people's cycles become shorter on the back end, so they no longer have a long enough LP which is definitely a problem.

I think it's B6 that can help with your LP? Clomid can actually make some people O later, so that doesn't really help the LP.

A 10 day LP is on the short end. I would keep track of your cycle for a couple of months and see if that was just an abnormal cycle. An occasional abnormal cycles isn't an issue, but if you continue to see a pattern I would talk to your dr. My RE said he doesn't worry if someone has a wonky cycle on occasion (annovulatory, short lp, etc), but if it's a recurring pattern it can be a cause for more concern.

so that's a 10 day LP that's not bad! I would just be happy to have a shorter cycle. You can try more often and more times per year! that's a good thing

While 10 days is on the short side, it's not to the point of being very alarmed by it. If it gets less than 10 I'd start being concerned though

I have never had a cycle that short and only get 10, maybe if I'm lucky 11, chances a year to get pregnant!
