Default taking a (forced) TTC break

Well I should actually be starting a second cycle today based on my last AF but yet again nothing, 2 months without AF and it seems that I'm in a bit of a forced break from TTC, DH is so positive that it'll all work out and 'our time will come' but it's getting harder and harder to believe that. Doc is starting testing and DH has some tests coming up in a month so hopefully in the new year we'll be seeing the fertility specialist. Until then I'm sort of in limbo...

I'm sorry you are having to go through this. It's so hard when you have to question your fertility. I hope that you get some positive answers very soon.

Please come back to check in and KUP on how things go as you visit with the docs. We'll be rooting for you, for sure.

Default finally AF shows her face

Well after nearly 2 and a half months AF finally shows. All my blood work has come back normal and GP has no clue what could have caused AF to disappear for so long. Now we wait on DH's sperm count which won't be for another month (things move super slow here in the land of free health care...). In the meantime we can finally start charting and try again this month!
I don't think I'll temp this time because I did not have a lot of success with it in the past and I read recently that sleep disturbances can mess up the results and with having a new puppy i don't get a solid night's sleep since he usually needs to go out at about 3 or 4 am (it's like having a baby really).
I did find a cool app for my Blackberry that will allow me to input and track things like position of cervix and mucus, opk results.
    Wish me luck!!

He's a Border Collie/Siberian husky cross, lots of energy but we also have a 4 year old Golden Retriever so they get lots of play time in together in the backyard. We needed a high energy pup as our older dog is also energetic and playful. Now I'm remembering how much extra work a puppy is! It's like with your kids you forget the bad things (like pregnancy troubles and painful labor) LOL

    Question:
Has anyone heard of or had any success with using the instead cups for TTC? I came across an article suggesting they can be used to keep the swimmers close to your cervix (keep it in all night after DTD) but when I googled it further I saw several conflicting opinions.

I don't know much about the cup for ttc but it seems as though it would increase your chances of developing a urinary tract infection. Not sure though, just a thought. But anyways, congrats on getting AF back!

You know out of all the negatives I've read regarding their use for TTC that was never mentioned but that makes sense! Mostly what I've read is that the material used might be harmful to sperm, I've seen on other boards that some people claim they tried for months and nothing and used the cups and got pg that month. Still not sure about them tho. I might give it a try and see anyway. Either we'll get lucky or I'll have something to share LOL

I would imagine that it could work! I use the diva cup for AF, and it really keeps everything "up there". I don't think you'd have to worry about a urinary tract infection, as it doesn't affect your ability to urinate.

I'm not sure what materials could affect the sperm, but there are several products comparable to the instead cup that are made of different materials. IIRC, the diva cup is made of silicone.
