    Default Temp Drop Timing

How long before AF arrives does your temp typically drop?

I usually stop temping 3-4 DPO, but I thought I'd start up again today (12 DPO), to avoid wasting another test. Temp was still high, which is positive IMO. But, I'm not sure when it would drop - the day AF arrives, the day before? Any advice/experiences?

    Thanks!

I've had varied experiences, sometimes it's the day before, most often the day of and a couple of times af has started on a high temp. I often find my temp drops to coverline or just above when af starts and doesn;t drop below coverline until the next day or so

For me, it usually drops the day it starts if I remember correctly.

I've never had AF start on a high temp. But, I've found I tend to start dropping a few days before and just trend down. Sometimes its 2-3 days before. others, it's just the day before or day of.

For me it drops the day before AF starts. With my first pregnancy, I wouldn't let myself test until the day before AF as long as my temperature was still high. I ended up testing twice in the 7 months. Once, my luteal phase extended a day (stayed that way for future cycles) and the next time I was pregnant.

With DD2, I did have a dip on the day I tested but it was still way over coverline.

Interesting, thanks for the info! I had a dip today but still above my cover line. Trying to stay positive but am getting anxious!

So apparently my little temp drop was a big temp drop. AF arrived at noon today. FML.
