Update

Kinda been laying low lately, doesn't look like I've O'd this cycle Sad was hoping that my last AF was finally getting my body back on track but it doesn't seem to be that way.
I have another appointment with my GP this week and DH has his SA that same day so we're on track to hopefully get into the fertility specialist into the new year. Since my cycles have been so messed up lately - and were in the past as well up until about 5 years ago, I'm actually expecting his tests to come out fine.
I'm lucky that I'm the youngest in my office and one of the youngest in our organization so I'm not surrounded by pregnant women all day - most others are grandparents - but there has been a 'baby boom' at work with everyone announcing new grandchildren are on the way in my immediate office there are 3 - 6 to 12 month old grandchildren and 2 newborns (one was born yesterday) and 4 more on the way! There are another 4 to 6 newborns or pregnancies within our unit as well! No one knows we've been trying so I just have to put on a smile and say how great it is Sad

:bigarmhug: This TTC business can be rough and heartbreaking. Though I know you are happy for everyone else blessed enough to be getting babies or grandbabies, I know it only highlights that you aren't yet pregnant. I understand that and it's completely normal. I have faith that you will get there soon. I hope your appointments go well and I hope you will KUP on how things go.

:bigarmhug: Glad to hear you're getting in with a fertility specialist soon. Hopefully, they can find an easily remedied problem that is messing up your cycles soon. I work at one of those places where people joke that there must be something in the water because so many employees (or their wives) are pregnant. I think it has more to do with the fact that we have a lot of younger employees. It's hard to hear those announcements and go to the showers when TTC isn't going so well.

AF is due but not started yet. :witch:
Feeling rather crampy though and seeing as I am pretty sure I haven't O'd this month I have not bothered to test, am not in the mood for a BFN. Just got a notice about my dental claim which got screwed up so I'm still waiting to get my $$ back (most of my Christmas shopping money went into my mouth till I get reimbursed :aak: ).
Tomorrow is another day....

I noticed your ticker says day 1... Does that mean AF showed? Sad That really sucks about your dental claim. Nothing like last minute shopping. The stores get so crazy!

Still hasn't shown up I just have been in testing for a new position all day and have not updated it lol.

And I found out I won't get my $$ reimbursed until after the new year! I'm trying to look on teh bright side - I'll be getting about $500 bucks back after the holidays when everyone else is broke! lol as long as I don't break down and max my credit card now....

Go easy on the credit card and enjoy your first of the year "bonus!" I have a "normal" monthly income, but I also have some months where I get a "bonus" for teaching over breaks or picking up extra classes. Looking forward to recovering from the holidays with an income injection from a winter interim class.

How did the testing go today?

BFN as expected Sad at least I wasn't surprised.

Breasts are getting to be sore and cramps are coming and going, slight nausea but I get that about 50% of the time when AF is starting - ever since I had my DD (I was extremely sick for that entire pregnancy, lost 20lbs). As I mentioned earlier I am pretty sure I didn't even O this month, no LH detected and no EWCM although I did find I have way more CM than normal this month, even now when I usually have none.

I'm just waiting now for AF so I can hopefully start a new cycle and hopefully O this time!

BFN = boo! In all of my TTC time, I have only had EWCM one cycle (and it wasn't my pg cycle). Are you lucky enough to get EWCM when you ov?

How was the job testing? Are you starting a new position?

I usually do get EWCM - actually noticed this morning that I seem to have an abundance of it (very odd timing but oh well!) going to try an OPK at lunch time today and see if I get a surge!

Testing went well, I am hoping to get on in my current position on a permanent basis - Canadian Federal government jobs = lots of hoops and red tape! I started in Feb on what was initially supposed to be a 6 week temp job and I'm still here! My supervisor and Manager have fought to keep me and there is more paperwork to be done to hopefully make me a permanent employee. I do have a few other options if that falls through though since I'm in 3 or 4 competitions for positions within the department and federal gov in general., but I'd much rather stay where I'm at if I can. I really like the folks I work with and I'm extremely good at my job Biggrin

Yay for EWCM!! Maybe you are just O'ing late?! I was just reading about how stress can delay ovulation, and I got all stressed out about that, lol...

Good luck with the job! What do you do?

Could be - my cycles have been crazy messed up since september (I went from September 5th to Nov 12th with no AF), here's hoping!

*Update OPK test was a BFN - not even a second faint line!

I work for Construction Engineering for the Military Base here. I'm a Works Controller so I coordinate with trades and the various Military Units to have building maintenance and repairs, snow removal, grounds maintenance etc done. I also track all the Leave for all the civilian trades in our shops. I find it interesting but most people think I have a horrible job LOL because everyone calls me with complaints! But I'm a talker so it works for me! I spent 4 years working for the Tourism department with the City before this so I can and DO talk to anyone!

Serious cramping today, am expecting AF to start anytime now. Weird thing is despite negative OPKs I have an over abundance of EWCM and cervix is super high, soft and open. When AF starts it's usually hard and low (at least for me). Making me wonder if it's false negative tests? Anyone had that happen before? At this point it wouldn't surprise me to be ovulating on day 35, not getting my hopes up though.

From the sounds of things at my appointment yesterday I may end up on clomid for a cycle or 2 while waiting to see the fertility specialist. Lots of tests were ordered by my doc so my Provincial Medicare pays for them, and saves us some $$, then all the results will go to the fertility docs prior to our initial appointment. Just have to wait for all the tests now, we may have free healthcare but it runs at a snails pace!

Your job sounds very interesting! I've worked in my home for so long, I get all excited when I hear about careers out in the "real world", lol.

I've never used opk's, so I don't know about the false negatives. Have you ever had O pains? I'm wondering, with your cervix, and cm seeming ready, could that be what your cramping is? Def. get some bd'ing in just in case!! Have you been temping? I was pretty impressed when I saw my temp rise after o'ing. It was like a nice confirmation that it really did happen, kwim?

Very cool about the clomid! I've heard so many people have success with it. I've also heard before that the health coverage in Canada is super slow. That's part of what worries me about having a similar plan in the US!

It really varies by province, I used to live in Ontario and I never really waited for any tests to be done. Here depending on what test it can take months. The coverage varies by province as well, in NB they don't cover IVF or even Midwives. Ontario will cover a few rounds of IFV depending on meeting specific criteria and most other provinces cover Midwives. That being said, everyone can see a doctor and you never have to worry about getting sick, there's always an emergency room or walk in clinic even for those who don't have a family doctor.

I have had some cramping on rare occasions so it's very possible, unfortunately due to DH's SA we've been unable to BD most of the week! We actually had a really hard time not ruining the results of the test LOL. It would mean I O'd on day 34 or 35 with is SUPER late but better late than never? If that's the case here's hoping that 3 days before and maybe the day of or day after was enough!
