So I have been researching AF post-mc and have read that Vitamin C can help bring back AF. I have mixed feelings about this as what I read suggested about 10,000mg of Vitamin C. That seems like a bit much to me even though I know any excess vitamins your body doesn't need will just empty in your urine. Having mixed thoughts, what do you ladies think?
(Before anyone thinks I'm taking this much Vitamin C I am just asking for discussion purposes. It's just for fun.)
that IS a heckuva lot of Vit C! I would think it would give you the runs if nothing else!
Although I've also read that it can help bring on AF, another thing I've read is to drink Parsley tea?
I guess if you're 'sure' you're not pg, and really anxious to get the show on the road, then it's something to consider....
I agree! It is alot. And I wouldn't even consider it until I've hit the 8 week post-M/C mark (but then of course I would make an appt with my OB/GYN). I've been testing like every 5 days until I see AF. I would just rather not test it if I may be preggo. I have never been SO EAGER for AF to show her ugly face!!
I've heard a lot of stuff over the years, but not that about vitamin C. That is a lot, so I'd imagine it would do something to your body. Just not sure what. lol.
Try chasteberry/vitex (the same thing, but it goes by two different names). It's prescribed in Germany to help regulate female hormones and to increase fertility. That's why my midwife suggested I take when I was waiting for my cycles to regulate after DD was born. I don't know how much you'd take in the pill form, but you ought to drink about three cups a day of the tea.
