Tiffany I'm drinking pom juice too. Hoping you get a bfp this cycle too.
So FF gave me crosshairs today. A sure sign that it was a failed attempt at temping, there is no way I ovulated the day after AF ended right? I have a uti, which I mentioned in another thread. I wonder if the infection is making me hotter? I dunno, at least it was fun to try.
First of all, can I say how amazing, and skilled you ladies are at reading/interpreting charts? After I put my temp in this morning, crosshairs came up on CD18, exactly as you predicted! So, I know that FF likes to keep things modest, and doesn't show how often we BD, but around CD18, we BDed on CD15,17,18,19, AND 20 (FH loved this for sure). I think we covered enough of the bases, right? LOL! If you're interested, I think my chart is finally worth stalking!
Elizabeth - You're on the right track, the first step with charting is getting into the routine. I'm not sure if it'll help, but I set the alarm within the FF app on my iPhone for a time that I would NEVER wake up for willingly (ie. 5:45 when I'm never up before 6). I wake up, temp, and enjoy my last little bit of sleep. I'm not super experienced with FF, so maybe everyone else can chime in too, but don't give up on temping this cycle. FF will likely adjust itself with more data, it's only working with what you've given it so far, and it might be because of the infection.
Wendy - The straight line temp weirded me out for a while too! I actually posted here asking if I should replace my thermometer, I thought it wasn't working, LOL. I hope that your hubby is right with his predictions (that's awesome, by the way), maybe that could be a side business for him if he consistently guesses correctly!
FH was hilarious the other morning, he woke up a little when my alarm went off to temp, and he rolled over, said "Are we pregnant?". I laughed at him and said no, not yet, so he just sighed, rolled over, and went back to sleep. What a weirdo. I sat down and showed him my chart today, and explained what it all means, and he seems to understand. He learned a bit about it when we had our marriage prep course, so he's not totally in the dark. I'm super nervous now.. hoping that my temps stay high.
Jessica that's cute that your FH is so interested in learning about TTC!
So I went to the urgent care doctor this morning and he said my urine was clear and I tested negative for a UTI. I don't get it. Feels exactly like I have one. I'm just drinking lots of water and taking cranberry pills just in case. If I'm still in pain on Monday I will try to make an appointment with my regular doc. Hope it doesn't ruin my chances this month.
My hubby is super keen on another baby, he was out doing his thing yesterday and came home with prenatal vitamins for me, one of the expensive brands as swell which he had stood in the chemist and price compared on so i have my firsy 3 months supply, i had just been planning on taking folic acid and calcium and will still need a trip tothe vhemist for calcium because i think ds leeched it all from mme and i ended up with poor teeth from my last pregnancy.
Elizabeth - That sounds weird. For what it's worth though, I felt like I was getting a UTI when I went camping the other night. I constantly felt like I needed to pee, and when I went, it was just a trickle... this lasted about 2 days and disappeared yesterday. Hopefully it's nothing!
Wendy - That's pretty cute! Something about men shopping for things that women would normally shop for.. Interesting about the calcium, I would have never thought that it'd affect teeth, but that really makes sense!
I'm not certain if that was the issue, but i don't drink much milk or dairy at the best of times because it makes me feel sick. my dr didn't agree with me that i could be lacking in calcium, but while pregnant i suddently had two teeth break and i have recently had to have them both pulled because they could nit be saved. my dr not agreeing with me doesn't mean much though, he didn't agree with or look into much while i was seeing him while oregnant, but the midwives won't take you n here until twenty weeks, at least then i start to feel like i get real care
Eta: well my chart might get interesting in the next couple of weeks, i got a positive opk today. Hoping to get some bding tonight and tomorrow and then cross my fingers. I think the battery on my thermometer might be going as well so that should be fun, it's only new.
Wendy, good luck this month. Glad to hear your DH is super excited. My DH has started taking vitamins himself, so I know he wants a baby bad. He used to always say he didn't believe in vitamins.
I still haven't gotten a positive opk. Its bumming me out, bc I told DH we had to DTD thru at least tomorrow. I'm going to take another opk tonight and if its neg, I'm going to change the game plan and give dh a night off.
Elizabeth, it can be totally normal to not get a positive opk until right on o, some people don't fade in much, mine were super light, like strain to see until o then it was obvious. Cd14 is still within the realms of normal for o.
I don't hold much hope for this cycle ( i said that last time as well and look what i have now). We only bded on o day and once a bout four days prior before ff said i was in the fertile window. We had sickies in our house last week which was oart of the issue, but again looking at my last chart when i did conceive we only bded twice in the window of fertile and one on o day and triuble is now standing in front of me watching mr men and yelling wee wee.
Elizabeth - It's not over yet! You never know, you could be like me and not get anything close to positive until CD18 and later.
I'm joining you this cycle...TTC #2. WTO is always fun, right? LOL.
Jessica - your chart is looking nice! I hope the temp pops back up tomorrow. Super cute about your DH. Mine got pretty knowledgeable about the whole thing too when we were ttc our dd.
Elizabeth - That's so cute about your DH taking vitamins. I love it when they are so dedicated! I hope you get a + OPK soon. Waiting can be so hard!
