Anyone waiting to ovulate? How's it going? What do you do to pass the time until then and what is your TTC strategy this month?

I'm waiting. I should O around July 4th. Strategy is opks, temping, lots of BD'ing, green tea until O and a friend told me I should eat cacao!?! I'm going to try to do it all this time. Oh and I'm getting a massage this Saturday, so that should help.

I am expected to o this weekend and my planned strategy is hope DS sleeps for a little bit and that I don't fall asleep before hubby gets home from work. It's going to be much more difficult this time I think

I'm still waiting to O, should happen in about 3 days. My 'strategy' is to BD every other day (FH loves this), drinking lots of water, and still taking a B complex vitamin.

I should o any day now, but I think I may have already on cd 14. It is unusual to come early. We will shall see....

Anyone care to take a look at my chart? FF has never really given my an O date, but I bought for sure that it would this cycle. I've been temping, using OPKs, AND tracking CM, but it still hasn't marked anything for me. What do you think? Just click on my ticker.

Also, funny note about CM, it's also an acronym for Case Manager, which we use all. the. time. at my work... I always chuckle a little when I see CM in notes.

It looks like you O'd around CD 17 or 18 going by your thermal shift. I would say another couple of days worth of temperatures and you should get your crosshairs.

I started opk's yesterday and it was very negative yesterday and today its pretty dark. Not positive dark, but close. I wonder if I will ovulate early this month or something? Last cycle I had all super white negatives until CD14 when it was super positive.

Jessica, hope you caught that eggie. Hopefully FF will figure it out soon. I was starting to cheat on my temping. I've had a couple mornings where I simply had to get out of bed right before temping (dog barking). I initially discarded those temps, but decided to leave them in since this is my first cycle temping and I'm just trying to see some sort of pattern.

Wendy are you charting?

I am, but it's probably not super accurate because I am woken by DS between 5 and 20 times a night. I am doing OPKs as well and yesterday it was lighter than the light lines I had the previosu ywo days. FF puts me at Oing Sunday or Monday I think. I'm not linking my chart because there isn't much to see really, straight line of temps ( consistently 36.50) which concerned me but when I checked my chart from DS it was the same.

I am usually oin my tablet so it's hard to link anything from there and today i am on the computer at my Mum's so I don't want FF turning up on her search stuff etc because no one knows we are TTC IRL. If you want to see it you can search me on ff it's ange841 over there. my line on my opk is darker today, i would guess a full positive tomorrow or Minday so I still have a chance, i was sick all week and looks like hubby has a mild case of the bug i had now, good thing o is this weekend, next week sucks for me at work. I'll give you all huby's verdict in a few days he predicted it all about ds, i doubted i was oregnant that month, he kept saying i was and the positive test wasn't a surprise for him, and he predicted a boy, this time he is predicting a girl

I would agree Jessica that you O'd around 17-18.

Im gearing up to O I think. Ive had some spotting the past two days and have no idea why really its not normal for me but whats normal after a loss?? I was worried that my lining didnt build up well last cycel since AF was so short. So Im drinking Pom juice and RRL tea to see if that helps. Im hoping to get a BFP and no AF at all this cyce though. Im going crazy waiting to O but thats all I can do lol I cant force my body to O. I am taking two OPKs a day, charting CM and CP, and we are going to start bding every day tomorrow until O. Last cycle my OPKs were stark white until the day before O thius time they have had varying bits of color. I noticed a big change in CP today which is encouraging.

Tiffany I'm drinking pom juice too. Hoping you get a bfp this cycle too.

So FF gave me crosshairs today. A sure sign that it was a failed attempt at temping, there is no way I ovulated the day after AF ended right? I have a uti, which I mentioned in another thread. I wonder if the infection is making me hotter? I dunno, at least it was fun to try.

First of all, can I say how amazing, and skilled you ladies are at reading/interpreting charts? After I put my temp in this morning, crosshairs came up on CD18, exactly as you predicted! So, I know that FF likes to keep things modest, and doesn't show how often we BD, but around CD18, we BDed on CD15,17,18,19, AND 20 (FH loved this for sure). I think we covered enough of the bases, right? LOL! If you're interested, I think my chart is finally worth stalking!

Elizabeth - You're on the right track, the first step with charting is getting into the routine. I'm not sure if it'll help, but I set the alarm within the FF app on my iPhone for a time that I would NEVER wake up for willingly (ie. 5:45 when I'm never up before 6). I wake up, temp, and enjoy my last little bit of sleep. I'm not super experienced with FF, so maybe everyone else can chime in too, but don't give up on temping this cycle. FF will likely adjust itself with more data, it's only working with what you've given it so far, and it might be because of the infection.

Wendy - The straight line temp weirded me out for a while too! I actually posted here asking if I should replace my thermometer, I thought it wasn't working, LOL. I hope that your hubby is right with his predictions (that's awesome, by the way), maybe that could be a side business for him if he consistently guesses correctly!

FH was hilarious the other morning, he woke up a little when my alarm went off to temp, and he rolled over, said "Are we pregnant?". I laughed at him and said no, not yet, so he just sighed, rolled over, and went back to sleep. What a weirdo. I sat down and showed him my chart today, and explained what it all means, and he seems to understand. He learned a bit about it when we had our marriage prep course, so he's not totally in the dark. I'm super nervous now.. hoping that my temps stay high.

Jessica that's cute that your FH is so interested in learning about TTC!

So I went to the urgent care doctor this morning and he said my urine was clear and I tested negative for a UTI. I don't get it. Feels exactly like I have one. I'm just drinking lots of water and taking cranberry pills just in case. If I'm still in pain on Monday I will try to make an appointment with my regular doc. Hope it doesn't ruin my chances this month.

My hubby is super keen on another baby, he was out doing his thing yesterday and came home with prenatal vitamins for me, one of the expensive brands as swell which he had stood in the chemist and price compared on so i have my firsy 3 months supply, i had just been planning on taking folic acid and calcium and will still need a trip tothe vhemist for calcium because i think ds leeched it all from mme and i ended up with poor teeth from my last pregnancy.

Elizabeth - That sounds weird. For what it's worth though, I felt like I was getting a UTI when I went camping the other night. I constantly felt like I needed to pee, and when I went, it was just a trickle... this lasted about 2 days and disappeared yesterday. Hopefully it's nothing!

Wendy - That's pretty cute! Something about men shopping for things that women would normally shop for.. Interesting about the calcium, I would have never thought that it'd affect teeth, but that really makes sense!

I'm not certain if that was the issue, but i don't drink much milk or dairy at the best of times because it makes me feel sick. my dr didn't agree with me that i could be lacking in calcium, but while pregnant i suddently had two teeth break and i have recently had to have them both pulled because they could nit be saved. my dr not agreeing with me doesn't mean much though, he didn't agree with or look into much while i was seeing him while oregnant, but the midwives won't take you n here until twenty weeks, at least then i start to feel like i get real care

Eta: well my chart might get interesting in the next couple of weeks, i got a positive opk today. Hoping to get some bding tonight and tomorrow and then cross my fingers. I think the battery on my thermometer might be going as well so that should be fun, it's only new.

Wendy, good luck this month. Glad to hear your DH is super excited. My DH has started taking vitamins himself, so I know he wants a baby bad. He used to always say he didn't believe in vitamins.

I still haven't gotten a positive opk. Its bumming me out, bc I told DH we had to DTD thru at least tomorrow. I'm going to take another opk tonight and if its neg, I'm going to change the game plan and give dh a night off.

Elizabeth, it can be totally normal to not get a positive opk until right on o, some people don't fade in much, mine were super light, like strain to see until o then it was obvious. Cd14 is still within the realms of normal for o.

I don't hold much hope for this cycle ( i said that last time as well and look what i have now). We only bded on o day and once a bout four days prior before ff said i was in the fertile window. We had sickies in our house last week which was oart of the issue, but again looking at my last chart when i did conceive we only bded twice in the window of fertile and one on o day and triuble is now standing in front of me watching mr men and yelling wee wee.

Hi ladies,

I'm joining you this cycle...TTC #2. WTO is always fun, right? LOL.

Jessica - your chart is looking nice! I hope the temp pops back up tomorrow. Super cute about your DH. Mine got pretty knowledgeable about the whole thing too when we were ttc our dd.

Elizabeth - That's so cute about your DH taking vitamins. I love it when they are so dedicated! I hope you get a + OPK soon. Waiting can be so hard!

Thanks! I hope it's quick too! Maybe a couple months would be good though, so the whole thing can sink in a little more first. LOL

Jessica - what's with the temps? I remember always finding the SAME temp day after day to be so unrewarding. LOL

ARGGHHHH! So frustrating, I have no idea how my body functions. Last month I had 1 positive opk, just 1! This month, I have 3 whole days of positives, I've been testing 2-3 times a day, since last month I felt like I missed my surge. Now it seems I'm having a super long surge.

Also, when are you supposed to check your CM? I check mine randomly, whenever I think to do it. Is there a set time you are supposed to do this. When I woke up, I checked and it was lotiony, almost dry. So I thought well I must have ovulated yesterday. But then just now I checked again and it was the most egg-white I've ever seen it in my life. Plus with the positive opk, I'm starting to think I'm going to ovulate today. I've also had O pains for 3 days now. I usually have O pains for like 4 hours and that's it.

I'm temping but its pointless, because my dog wakes me up in the middle of the night or like today at 5am and asks to go outside. She doesn't take no for an answer. So I take my temps at different times everyday. And sometimes I have to get out of bed before or while I'm temping. Yesterday I was in the middle of taking my temp and she started howling (beagle) and I had to grab her, so she didn't wake up our duplex neighbor. I'm starting to think if I'm going to continue temping, I will have to take my dog to obedience school.

Haha! You saw that already? I took my temp twice, because I read it the first time, and thought "What the crap? Can't be right". You're right, very unrewarding. Kind of have a bad feeling that AF is around the corner, but I know it's not over 'til it's over.

FH tried to whine and complain about not enough BDing last night, and I went all "LOOK AT MY CHART" on him. The longest we've gone without is two days, or 5 days while AF is here. He shut up pretty quick, LOL.

Elizabeth - I'm pretty sure different Os can be different 'strengths' and have different hormone levels. Sometimes one ovary can be more dominant I think. As for the CM, I think you should make note of the most fertile CM of the day. EWCM is definitely a great sign! I say get on that one! LOL

Jessica - I've SO been there. Taken my temp more than once because I didn't believe what it said. LOL. I'm totally trying to not get so obsessed as to temp this time around...my cycles are pretty consistent and I get pretty good EWCM so I'm going to just go with that for now. If nothing happens in a few months...I guess I'll re-evaluate thing. Must. Not. Get. Obsessed. (like last time, lol)

Oh Jessica, I forgot to comment on the FH (what does that stand for, I know DH?) complaining about not enough BDing. I had to laugh. Just wait it you're pg! After 15 cycles of trying for my daughter, I needed a break after my BFP. Then I had a newborn...blah blah. Anyways, DH is happy to TTC just for the BDing and doesn't want us to be pg too fast. Yuop same temps everyday suck, mine hasn't changed at all the whole time, I think it has something t do with waking up constantly with DS all night, i'm lucky to get two hours uninterrupted sleep.

I figure DS is never going to sleep so i may as well be awake all night rather than just half the night, and at least a few months of that I won't have to work. I'm hoping this next baby will sleep better. There were some issues with me having to pick my hubby up from work every night between nine and elebven pm for the first year of ds's life, him getting really sick at four months old and a massive cyclone coming through at that time as well. The hubby issue is resolved, hopefully no cyclones and even if we get the illness issues ( which are likely) I will be less freaked out by them with a second child, I hope

Wow, that's crazy! I would hate to wake my wee one (and/or myself) to go get hubby from work. Glad that's all sorted out. They are all different, so you might get a sleeper next time (and I might not! LOL). Pretty soon your son will be old enough to understand that he has to stay in bed all night. LOL. Well at least we can wish, right?

Wendy when is AF due for you?

I have no idea what's going on with me this month. 3 positive opks in a row, 2 days of Ovulation pain, crazy temps. I think I ovulated on the 5th or the 6th. Our timing was horrible this month, so I will be super surprised if I get a bfp.

Af is due in about a week. we have a long weekend next weekend as well so i will be at my Mum's for part of it so really no early testing. I am not hopeful this cycle though, but i wasn't last time either. I have had somethings the same but others not. Iam eating a ton but losing weight by the looks of it. I guess we will know next Sunday or Monday, but my cycles are a bit all over the place and vary by a few days because of breast feeding still.

I'm still waiting to O. It should be this week. The current plan is to dtd every second day and see how things go. I don't want to be to intense about it. LOL. I don't own any pg tests yet so we'll see what I do when it comes to that. Do the dollar stores in the US still sell them? Perhaps I'll pick some up when we're in the US 2 weeks from now.

Ok, great! I'll have to stock up when I'm in the US. Our store sometimes has them but I feel weird buying 20 pg tests in my hometown. KWIM?

I think I saw some EWCM today...go us!

I know exactly what you mean! DH and I stocked up one time (not in our hometown thank goodness) and the cashier that was ringing us up was like, "That sure is a lot of tests...." and gave us the strangest look! lol Some people have no idea what us TTC'ers have to go through! lol

Hooray for EWCM! Go catch the eggie! Smile

Ya, TTCers are crazy. Seriously OCD. I went through a few tests last time but I know more people who went through a lot more tests than me.

When I finally got pg I only took two tests an internet cheapy and a real good one. I still have them in my bedside table and they are like 3 years old. LOL. What do you do with those things?

I'm back to WTO! I don't know what's going on with me, maybe some of you have experienced it, but I am salivating like crazy, have been since yesterday. It was bad enough when I was out watering the garden last night that I actually had to spit it out.. I hate that, not just doing it myself, but when others do too! Such a weird feeling.

Anyways, should O at the end of the month. FH is gone for a work conference on the 28th, conveniently on the day that I'll most likely O.

Hey Jessica. Welcome back. Hopefully I won't be here much longer...but I'm not temping or doing OPKs so who really knows when I'll O. Hummmm.....

Extra salivation is often a pregnancy thing. I had it a bit when I was pg with DD. I'd drool if I weren't paying attention. It's probably hormone related, so maybe CD1 is a strong hormone day?

If DH is home up to the day before O you still stand a chance. Make sure you DTD right before he leaves!

I have also heard that the excess saliva is a pregnancy related. Did it go away?

That stinks that DH will be out of town during O time.

How's the wedding planning going? Are you ready? Getting excited?

yup last time i had to spit everytime i went to the toilet so about every half hour. I can feel lots of saliva now, but seriously i really think i am out. Af is due in a couple of days, issue is i get no symptoms on impending Af so i guess no idea if it's on it's way or not. I'll know for sure in a few days, hubby is still certain there are two girls on their way.

I don't really get many symptoms ahead of time either. It's weird.
