    Helpful Resources
*Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. This is a very helpful book for anyone wanting to start TTC.
It clearly outlines and explains the Fertility Awareness Method, and teaches you how to chart your three
main fertility signs: Cervical position, Cervical mucous and Basil Body Temperature. It is highly recommended!

    * Fertility Friend This is a wonderful website that you can use to record your chart
information. Once you set up a chart, you can go to “sharing” and then “tickers” to create a ticker that
will show where you are in your cycle. This ticker will also act as a link so that others can see your chart. To
add your ticker into your signature, simply copy the BBcode and paste it in your signature.

*Pregnancy.org also has a number of other boards and articles dedicated to specific life circumstances. Feel free to visit those as well!

Hi gang, I'm Emily. I'm 22, my Fiance Ben is 22 also. We have been TTC for about 7 months now, in that time i've only had 3 cycles! CRAZY!!!

Truthfully...i havn't had any challenges due to being plus sized and TTC... YET!

Last year i had an horrific experience. I had a ruptured ectopic that almost killed me, they removed my left tube. I'm am the 'one tube wonder'. I also have Endometriosis and PCOS! We have been told to have children now or never, as the endo is bad. I'm starting my first round of clomid tomorrow! Hopefully it will regulate my cycles so we can get our BFP!

    Anyway, that's me!!
    to all!

    Since Nov 2005

What challenges have you ran into on your TTC journey because of being Plus sized? Not sure yet if there are any. I seem to be Oing which is often the big issue. Hopefully they're won't be problems! Problems with the PG itself is another question ...

Anything else you want us to know?! I've been married for 15 years to JP. We live in Northern CA. He's a Network Engineer and I'm a writer (still working on breaking into the publishing world yet).

We haven't been ready to have a child until now, both in terms of life-choices and in terms of my long history of gynecological problems that have hopefully been cleared up.

We've been low tech TTC for now, but I have an apt with an RE in two days so that might change.

Hi all I am Jodie as well. My husband and I begane ttc not long after our wedding in 2004 (we were married in April and started ttc in May). We went with the wait and see bit for six months. My cycles were ranging from 19 days to 35 days I had a GP at the time who would not help out in any way. In feb/march 2005 I had my first big cyst rupture in many years and I ended up in hospital as they had to rule out pregnancy. I saw a lovely gyno who was more than happy to help us out. I tried Clomid and on the first cyle again I had another cyst rupture and a wasted opitunity. In May that year I did clomid again. I ovulated very well and things were looking great. My LP was fairly long but unfortunaitly AF showed and spoiled the party. My Gyno seems to thing that I had a early miscarriage. That was our last cycle. So I had to make the very hard choice to either keep going or treat my ever growing arthritis with a chemo drug. I choose to treat my arthritis and I am glad I did. I had some pretty majour flare ups on treatment which would have limited how a dr could treat me if I was pregnant or ttc. I have stopped treatment now and just have to wait for clearence time until we ttc again. see ticker below.
My only problem has been my actural weight becuase of glucose resistance. I weigh so much more than I did 12 months ago, so hopefully by christmas that will change in a big way. I am hoping to get down under 100kgs again. I have not weight that much in 6 years or more!

How long you been TTC? This is my 8th cycle of "officially" trying after last years m/c.

What challenges have you ran into on your TTC journey because of being Plus sized? So far none, I'm still O'ing according to my charts, so between the weight and the age that is a very good thing.

Anything else you want us to know?
Scott and I have been married for almost 2 years now. I have 2 children from a previous marriage, he doesn't have any. I've had 4 m/c due to incompetent cervix and 1 chemical pregnancy.

I haven't gone to the doctor about trying any drugs yet, still waiting to see what nature has in store for us.

Hi! I'm new.... been TTC for over a year now - and just starting to talk to doctors to see if I have any issues. So far my bloodword is all clear (no insulin problems, hormones normal) and my husband is also getting tested. My doctor called last night, asking me to come in for a bit more bloodwork - she'd like to do some testing to see if I have PCOS.

Nice to find a group of people to talk about these issues with! My husband just keeps telling me to relax.

Hi all! I have just turned 30 and my DH and I have been together for ten years and have been married since September 2001.

We have been TTC for 6 months. We kept putting it off waiting for us to be financially well off and I thought I would also lose weight in the meantime but neither of those things really happened.... LOL... So once I hit the big 3.0. we decided now was the time.

I have not seen any doctors yet, just letting nature run its course for a little while longer. If nothing has changed in a few months will start the ball rolling, I just hope I can find a doctor who isn't just going to tell me to go away and lose weight.

I have just started taking Vitex as well pregnancy and breastfeeding multivitamins (just in case....)

    Good luck to everyone

How long you been TTC? On and off for 3 years - letting what ever happens, happen and not charting or anything. Officially since our wedding March 18, 2006.

What challenges have you ran into on your TTC journey because of being Plus sized? We aren't sure if there are any problems, yet. I am just concered since none of our accidents have gotten me pregnant and I'm now on my third cycle of actively trying and I'm not pregnant. I got pregnant with DD (now 6) within two months of no birth control. I think I may have anno cycles and have been experiencing irregular cycles.

Anything else you want us to know?! We are newlyweds and are still hopeful that this will be a short TTC process. I have a 6 yo daughter from my first marriage so I have hope that I can get pregnant and carry to term. Her pregnancy was relatively easy to conceive and carry (except for the horrible M/S!!) I work at night and it makes tempting very hard with my whacky sleep schedule. I'm very avid in checking CM and CP. I have also started taking FertiliAid last cycle and have seen positive signs that my horomones are working better - lots more CM and post-O had more progesterone signs (sore boobs, heartburn, gas) than I have had in months.
