    Default hcg diet question

I have been on the hcg diet for few weeks, lost 28 lbs, YEAH! Anyone else try it? Does anyone know if you can get a positive hpt while on the diet?

Hmmmm good question, Susan. Congrats on the 28 lbs down! I tried to get my doctor to put me on it last year but she refused. Hmmpphh! Kinda peeved me off. She said that it was a fad and that I should just eat right and exercise. I was like, HELLO!?!? I know I SHOULD do that but its not happening. LOL

Although I don't have first-hand experience, I did a quick Google search and the answer seems to be a resounding YES. You will get a positive POAS even if you are not PG. Do you think you are PG anyway?

Well, I broke down and called the dr today. First, the company I got the drops from. Since I use the kind that go under the tongue, they won't give a false pos pg test. I have gotten several pos ones, but I had a neg on a first response gold digital test today followed by a pos cheap one. I have spotting, but not unlike that I have had during peg before. My ob said teat again on Fri, and to come in if I have heavy bleeding or cramping. If the test is still pos on Fri, then I go in Aug 1st to evaluate pg. So, no clue, but I might be pg. fB friends, don't say anything. Really nervous. I have high risk PG! I needed to loose 100lbs before tic again to lower my risks for another preemie.

I hope everything works out the way you want it. On one hand, I am sure you would be elated to be PG but I understand your concerns. KUP!

we had a neg test today, so evidently, even though the drops weren't "supposed" to affect the test, they did. so, we will be postponing the ttc until Oct/Nov.

This is my introduction to the boards.

My name is Tara and my husband is Joe. We've been married for almost 4 months now. We have been trying to get pregnant for a little over a year with no success. I have a 5 yr. little girl from a previous marriage. I had no trouble getting pregnant with her, only took 4 months.
Last week, I was diagnosed with PCOS. Right now, we are waiting for my cycle to start so I can begin Metformin (1000mg/day) and my husband dropped off his semen sample off today for analysis. We will see what those results are. If Metformin doesn't work then we will add Clomid as well. Right now, I am 9 days late...still waiting for the

So that's me in a nutshelll...thank you for your time!

    to all of you
