Hugs Ashlee... I had betas that didn't quite double, and the RE said that the number they really look to for is doubling in 60 (or 66? can't remember) hours - anything under that they consider perfectly normal. I then scoured the internet and found over and over that the "48 hours" is not accurate and there's a lot of wiggle room in there. LOTS of dr's look for doubling in 48-72 hours. So you are well, well within that range.
Sticky vibes to you... hang in there!!
my beta didnt double either. keep your chin up.
It 'almost' doubled, and the number is high so hang in there

Echoing the others. Wide variation in normal betas. Mine never did double anywhwere 48 h (twins). Not much to do but hang tight and wait for the scan at 6 weeks.
do not panic!! my betas have never done what they're meant to. it is only 85% of women whose betas double within that perfect textbook timeframe (and even then i think it's 48-72 hours, or something like that). 15% double outside of that, and go on to be perfectly normal, healthy pregnancies.
i think that betas are a double edged sword- if they're textbook, all is fine with the world. as soon as they go outside 'normal', we panic and there's nothing we can do anyway.
with my current pregnancy, my betas were far off 'normal' doubling- a doubling time of 8 days if i remember rightly (which of course i do because i scared myself stupid).
anyway, your numbers are going in the right direction. they're definately doubling in the acceptable time limit. my advice- try not to panic or read too much into it- your main indicator is going to be the scan in a few weeks (and then the scan is more reliable than numbers are!)
gl. i hope you feel slightly more reassured by my little story.
Sending loads of doubling vibes your way
Motherhood after Infertility
I agree that the doubling rule is 48-72 hours. If you're doubling in 50 hours then you are EASILY in that range!! I think that you are more than good! Can't wait to see the u/s in a couple weeks!!
I agree. I'm not sure of my exact doubling time but my HCG at 17 dpo was 256, not as high as yours. Good luck and KUP!
Mine did not double either....even after a couple tests...not until it went above 1000, so hang in there....beta base was comforting, but obviously nothing was as comforting as the 6 week scan.
UPDATED: I grabbed this form my siggy:
beta #1 (14dpo) = 58, beta #2 (16dpo) = 110, beta #3 (22 dpo-because I begged for one!) = 1871
