Margaret...I saw that your class was postponed. I'm glad you don't have to go so you can get to feeling better. Did the cough syrup with codeine help? If anything, maybe it will make you sleepy and let you rest some.
I have a good friend who is building their house on their own. Her and her husband have been working on it since I met them 7 years ago. They still have a lot of finishing work to finish. I think that happens when you build on your own. The little things get put off. They are trying to get it done now because they want to refinance their house and can't do so until it is finished.
I got all our tax stuff put together today. We don't get our taxes done until March 14 but it's good to know we have recieved everything in the mail. I hate taxes!
I have a pork loin in the crockpot for dinner. I'll take the girls to mass tonight so that can be ready when we get home. DH has been pretty busy in the ER today. Seems like he gets a patient discharged, and another walks in. I've been reading my book today. I've been on the go so much lately that when I have a day at home with nothing I get really bored. I wish it was nice outside so I could go for a walk or run. It looks nice because it is so sunny. We are supposed to get 12 inches of snow on Thursday. We'll see if the weather people are right.
The codeine is helping with all the pain I get when coughing. Being asthmatic I rarely use cough syrup and not the stuff with codeine but after pulling a muscle once already I needed it. I am sleeping about 16 hours a day right now. My body is just shutting down totally.
I heard back from one of my interviews and they are not hiring me.... I have 2 interviews this week one who thinks I will have a job before she gets a chance to meet with me...
I do our taxes as soon as we have everything. Once again we will get a fairly big return as I did not get my disability payout until January but they took full taxes off before that... I think Sean loves that I can do our taxes. I really want to finish my accounting designation before I am 50...just over 6 years to accomplish that!
I got out our humdifier this morning. I didn't sleep well last night and I think it's because our house is dry. The thermostat says it's 23% humidity. I've had a sore throat and I'm sure it's just dry. I think my body got used to the higher humidity level while in Nicaragua.
Margaret...sorry you didn't get the job you interviewed for. Good luck with your future interviews.
I think I'll make pancakes and bacon for the girls this morning. I might make them go outside and get some fresh air today since it's supposed to be in the 40's. I need to get out there also and walk/run.
We have been running a humidifier in both bedrooms all winter. It is so dry here to begin with and winter makes it worse. We really need to get one put on our furnace. I get nose bleeds all the time from it being so dry.
Sean and Robbie went off to the science centre today. We changed plans as tomorrow there is a free Winterfest at the Provincial Legislative grounds. Free is always good, not that the science centre costs anything as we are members. I stayed home although I am feeling so much better.
AF is here... but it looks like things will be light now that I am back on the bcp.
I registered for another girl guide training for a weekend in March. This one is at a hotel and tends to be a lot of fun. They generally have about 200 leaders from across the province so lots of great ideas get shared.
I usually put one in our bedroom during the winter if I can tell it's dry. I had been doing well so far this winter but am now noticing a scratchy throat, cough and dry nose. I wish we would've put a humidifier/dehumidifier on our geothermal when we installed it. I can tell that the geothermal is less humid in the summer which is nice since we have high humidity here in the summer. Lower humidity makes the house feel cooler in the summer I think.
Enjoy your day at home Margaret! My parents are coming up later this afternoon to give the girls their Valentine's Day gifts. I think we'll have pizza here with them for dinner.
My AF aren't much lighter on BCP but I like how I can take control over my cycle and plan when I want to get AF. Even though BCP are used for cramps and heavy periods, it doesn't help me one bit in that area. I still get horrible cramps when I do get AF. The benefit though is that I only get it once every 50 days or so. I have had some spotting this cycle though. I scheduled an AF before we left for our trip so I wouldn't have to deal with it when we were in Nicaragua. Of course, I go to the bathroom in what they call a bathroom in the villages and I had started spotting. I had tampons back at the compound but nothing on me. No one else had anything either. I was going to have to go to the little store to buy something. Thankfully the pastor of that village was a female and had a pad for me. I never wear pads so it felt like I was wearing a diaper but it was better than nothing. Not very comfortable when you are sweating in a 100+ degree building with no air circulation. Idk if was just stress or what but it seems to be better.
My periods were not too bad but since the d&c they have been horrible. No way I could use a tampon, I was filling an overnight pad every 3-4 hours! Not fun. I ruined a lot of clothing with how heavy things were.
The last could of days have been rough really wondering if I should have given up trying for another baby. I think I am at peace and then something else happens to make me question it all.
DH and the plumber guy were looking at our whirpool tub in the garage that was delivered 2 weeks ago and the wrong tub was delivered! The company custom makes each one and they made an overmount tub instead of an undermount one. So another set back. So now they have to make us another one and send it. Then I get home from yoga and the guys left the door open from going in the house to the garage. They do it all the time and it frustrates me so much. #1 I don't want to have to pay more to heat my house than and I have and #2 we have a cat that I really don't want to get out there and run away. The head of the electrical/plumbing places leaves town tomorrow for a week so everything better be done before he leaves since we know that his guys can't do anything right without him here. I'm very frustrated with them right now.
Hope everyone is doing well!
School is already letting out 3 hours tomorrow because of impending bad weather. They really like to plan ahead. We are supposed to get between 7-8 inches of snow. I think they are kind of premature in letting out school because it's not supposed to start until later in the afternoon.
Guess what was waiting in my mailbox today? My jury duty summon. When we were in Nicaragua someone was talking about how they've been called for jury duty a lot and I said I had never been called (knock on wood). Since we were in the van, I knocked on metal/plastic. Apparantly, that's not the same. I have to call in every Monday evening in April, May and June. Then I will find out if I have to go in. I need to write a letter about our cruise though. I'm not cancelling our cruise because of jury duty. I'll probably just take my summon to the courthouse and talk to the clerk of court.
Today DH and I ran a bunch of errands. We bought our paint for our bedroom and bathroom since there is a sale at the paint store. We found some frames to frame the pictures we are going to put in a photography exhibit. We had lunch at Perkins. I had a coupon for buy one entree get one free and it was free pie Wednesday. We had a ton of food for little money. This afternoon we talked with DD3's class about our trip to Nicaragua. In religion they are talking about service so her teacher wanted us to come talk. The kids seemed interested. We talked for about 45 min. You never know how long 4th graders attention spans can be.
I had to share the ornaments I'm working on making for our fish extender group on our Disney cruise. I'm making Mickey and Minnie ornaments for each cabin. I think I'll have about 20 sets to make. I think they are turning out cute. So far I have 4 sets done.
The snowstorm predicted was way over-hyped. We did get about 7 1/2 inches of snow. The weather man said it's less snow than they predicted because of something in the air when the flakes were falling caused them to be small, more like ice crystals, than larger flakes. The same volume fell, just more compacted. We are supposed to get another snowfall on Monday/Tuesday.
My sister is coming up for dinner tonight. I'm making homemade mac and cheese, fish sticks and brocolli. It's hard for me to think of meatless meals on Fridays during lent.
I'm getting a new iPhone sent to me. I've been having battery issues so they had me reset my phone. Since I reset it, it won't stay connected to wifi. I've even backed it up and restored to factory settings. That didn't help. The guy from Apple said since I've tried to resolve the issue and the wifi problem happened after I did what they told me to do they'd send me another one. Thank goodness for AppleCare!
Awesome! I love them!!!! I love Disney, we are going in July and I can't wait!!! DD really wants to go on the cruise but I don't think I can be on ship that long. LOL!
I hate this winter weather, I used to love it but it's starting to get to me. However, I don't think I can live somewhere where it is always warm.
I've been working out and my body JUST HURTS!! I am tired of the treadmill so I opted for NIKE fitness on the Xbox and it's kicking my butt! LOL! I realized that it's a good stress relief.
I'm struggling at work since one of my coworkers is trying and lets just say that's her topic of conversation everyday. She came in last week complaining that she is sick and tired and couldn't do it anymore...mind you she has been trying for 3 months!!!! I looked at her and said yeah well look at me...I couldn't help it!
Other than that, having a vacation planned ahead is keeping me somewhat grounded. It's been 8 weeks now and it's still so fresh in my mind and my heart but I'm managing.
