Tiffany...glad your call shift wasn't too bad. I'm sure you are just exhausted by the end of the day not being able to sleep much at night. Sorry to hear about your cousin's dad.
Margaret...Have you been testing out the trigger? Good luck and have fun at your craft show tomorrow.
I made spritz cookies today. We have a roast in the oven for dinner. Our 3rd program of the week is tonight. Tomorrow DD3 reads the first reading at Children's mass. It is also DH's birthday.
Made it through the day. Have another 7am meeting tomorrow and clinic all day. The weekend is almost here. Yay!
Hubby wants me to go to Luke's soccer practice tonight. It will be very physically painful to go. Also there is no one there for me to talk to. Afterwards, however, the hospital is having some Christmas fun. So, I guess I am going to go. I feel so funny sitting in my chair - it is a huge outdoor recliner from REI. But my feet are so swollen.
I guess we are going to get something for dinner after all that.
Margaret - looking forward to your update tomorrow. GL!
Yup, testing out the trigger, 4 days ago was super light (like the one yesterday and the night before) then 2 snow white tests... I dunno. Gonna buy a FRER tonight when I have to go out.
Tifanny...the weekend is almost here!!! Did you go to soccer practice last night and the Christmas fun?
Margaret...good luck with your craft show today! Wish I lived closer so I could go and buy some of those yummy sounding almonds. I looked for raw almonds yesterday and couldn't find any. We live in a really small town so it's probably something that's not in high demand. Maybe when I go shopping next week in a bigger city I'll look.
We made it through the last of the girls' programs last night. It was a nice band/vocal program. I was really nervous DD1 was going to pass out standing on stage singing. She has a history of passing out and she's been evaluated thoroughly by a cardiologist and he found nothing other than saying lots of pre-pubescent teens do it. She's now clued into when it's going to happen so she can sit down and prevent it. We got a call from the school nurse yesterday saying when she was on stage practicing she got really hot and faint so sat down, but did not pass out. She went to the nurse and was fine afterwards. I talked to my friend who's daughter is in class with her said she said she passed out. I guess that's what all the kids are saying, but the teachers and nurses and DD clearly say she didn't. I'm thinking it's low blood sugar related since it was right before lunch and the last two times it's happened was in the morning when she was getting breakfast ready and then the other time was right before eating a late lunch. I get so anxious I can't even watch her because I obsess about her color and if she looks and is acting ok. It could also be a combo of nervousness for her and standing on stage with hot lights on.
I'm going to make DH a carrot cake today for his bday. I think when the girls get out of school we'll go get him some balloons and take them to the hospital if he is there. I'm making his favorite meal for dinner tonight and if needed, we'll take it to the hospital and eat with him.
I made DH a carrot cake for his bday and while I was taking it out of the pan it got stuck and broke in half :(. He was here to help me fix it. At least it will be the bottom layer and I can frost over it.
I have a tooth that's really bothering me. It stinks that it's Friday and the dentist is closed on Fridays so now I can't call until Monday. I noticed it on Wednesday night and thought it was because I was trying to clean out between the tooth good with dental floss. Yesterday it didn't bother me much but today it has been quite sore. I'm really hoping it's because I'm thinking about it and once I forget about it it will go away. If it gets too bad I'll have DH put some "dent-temp" in it to get through the weekend. I'm thinking it chipped or a filling fell out since it's rough and feels like food gets stuck in it.
Meg - I used to work as a nanny to a dentist. His go-to for tooth pain is warm salt water, as warm and as salty as you can stand it, rinse with it as often as you need. I know it has helped me in the past...too bad my pain is now jaw pain...
Good news and not so good news (maybe): Got the call I have been waiting for. Unfortunately I was not home for the call but they did leave a voice mail (not sure why they did not call my cell). Anyway, on Monday I go and sign my job offer!!! WOOT! Not so good news, I am now spotting.... that and I just broke even with the craft sale - but I have a job!!1
Thanks for the salt water tip. I may have to give it a try.
Congrats about the job!!! Sorry to hear about the spotting. I'm sure it's disappointing to break even with your craft show with how much time and effort you put into it. Do you think you'll do it again?
No more craft sales, too much time and effort and little return.

Margaret...Sounds like you did put a lot of work into making crafts and baked goods. I'm sorry it wasn't as successful as you wished. Was it just not busy? Your spotting sounds like old blood if it is that dark.
I'm exhausted! I've been on the go with violin since this morning. I'm so meticulous about my house being clean before ppl come that I spent all morning cleaning it and only had about 30 minutes to shower, get dressed and get ready. I really shouldn't have minded how my house looked since a majority of the ppl were kids. All the violin students and some adult violinists came over at 11am. My teacher provided pizza for everyone. Then we practiced all of our Christmas songs. It was probably about 12 students playing as a group. This was the first time we all played together. Then we rushed to one nursing home to be set up and playing by 1pm. We played about a 30 minute recital then had cookies and coffee with the residents. Then we had a little break and had to be to an independent living facility at 2:45 for a 3:00 concert. Everyone did a great job playing. This will take place of our long spring recital so it's nice to be done. Plus, I love playing Christmas songs. Lots of standing was done today...in high heels.
Tomorrow the girls and I are going to go to my parent's house to make krumkaka. None of us has ever made it but my mom bought an iron a couple years ago so we're going to give it a whirl.
Hope everyone else is having a great Saturday!
