Meg- Your friend's story makes us laugh a little around here (nervously, I might add).. we are taking no chances with regards to having another child right away.. the twins are awesome, but they are hard and I really hate being pregnant, though I love the result.. Sometime when you make it up to Minnesota we will have to make it down to the city for dinner. We would love to meet you in person.

I am so glad you had a good trip to Nicaragua. I am sure you touched many lives in more ways than you know.

Margaret - I am so sorry to hear about your husband's job. How incredibly frustrating. And I am sorry you are still dealing with stuff related to your mother's death.

Alright I finished pumping which means I need to try to go lay down for an hour and get some sleep.

Something good must be coming because life cannot continue the way it is now going. I received a text yesterday from my oldest sister accusing me of keeping my share of the insurance money. WTF! I never said anything about keeping the money. I am so pissed off. I told her that I was incredibly hurt that she would even suggest that I would keep any money that I know was always meant for funeral expenses. She texted back this morning saying that she assumed that since Sean lost his job that we would automatically keep the money. You know what they say about assuming....

Tiffany...how's the weather your way? My friend lives in Buffalo and we left there around 11am today. The roads were pretty bad since the plows hadn't been out. We averaged about 35mph for 60 miles. Then we ran into sleet, rain, fog and wind. We made it home safely though. We'll have to meet up sometime when we are up there.

Margaret...sorry to hear about DH's job and the life insurance issues. You just can't catch a break. Hope things get better from here on out.

I feel tired. It seems like we've been running since we got home. Sometime I'll have to share some Nicaragua stories but I have no energy to do so now. I'm hoping to get the rest of the pics uploaded to facebook this week. That will tell a lot of the stories. The interesting things we saw there was a little 11 yr old boy with leprosy and DH saw a lady with a systemic fungal infection. We didn't have the meds to treat her but went to the pharmacy and got the meds and the mission doc was going to take them back to her. It was only $20 for the meds. Here in the states it'd be a couple hundred. We saw a lot of cold, cough, sore throat symptoms which were allergies since it's so dusty and they have fires in their homes to cook with. We saw UTI's, scabies, yeast infections, head lice, pain, headaches. Lots of stomach symptoms which were parasites. Everyone we saw got anti-parasite meds. The nurses do the same as the docs there. We'd listen to the pt and write what meds to give them. In Nicaragua you don't need a prescription to buy meds. The villagers don't have the resources or money to go to town to get their meds. We bought $4520 in meds. The meds we didn't use we left with the mission doc.

Here is the link to my facebook album of Nicaragua. Sorry there are so many pics. DH likes to take pics and it's a good way to remember our time there. Hopefully the captions can tell some of our experiences there.

We got 8 inches of snow yesterday and it has made everything beautiful and fresh again. We took DS sledding (the Y had an event) on Saturday. I brought the babies and ran into the NICU doc who probably thinks I am crazy for taking the babies out but we have to get out of the house. Also, our neighbor let us use his snow blower... it worked out well, because he had to go out of town and DH did his driveway and ours so his wife would not have to. At least two of our other neighbors offered to let us borrow theirs as well.

We made chili in the crockpot yesterday and it was awesome. We are going to make more crockpot meals, because it makes sense for us to do meal preparation early in the day when we are both awake rather than at dinner when we are both getting really tired. I made it with tons of vegetables so it is really hearty and healthy. We will be eating it for days.

Margaret - sorry your sister is a little paranoid. I know I was a little crabby at hubby's SIL and I have to remember that we are all carrying our own crosses and dealing with our own problems.

Meg - love the photos. Looks like you had an amazing trip. It is great how things seemed to work out well despite some worries early on.

Alright... I better help out around here.

Tiffany...we got a dusting of snow last night. That's really nice of your neighbors to offer their snow blowers. It worked out good for both of you. Some fresh air for the twins is good and as long as they are bundled up I don't see a problem with it. You need to get out to save your sanity. I love crock pot meals. They are so handy. I'm making chili today.

Yes, despite some set backs in the beginning it all worked out...even better! Since the government worked with us, they did PAPs, blood testing and other things we wouldn't have been able to do without them. In some villages any people over 45 with eye problems got sent straight to the mission doctor. Our first day we got 6 people set up for cataract surgery at the end of the month. Hopefully we'll be able to work with the government more when we go down there. We also met with the mayor of Somotillo and he came out to a village. Our team was mentioned by him on the radio during an interview with him.

Tiffany - how nice of your neighbours to loan their snow blower, we have no where left to pile snow. I need to take a picture for you ladies. I hate how the snow does not melt here until March/April/May. Robbie and Sean were going to sled on Saturday but we had a mini blizzard and then the winds went nuts so they went yesterday.

Meg - your pictures are so incredible. You guys did a lot of great work. I am sure that your work was well appreciated. I loved following your journey on facebook.

Today Robbie see the psychiatrist for followup. The meds seem to really be making a difference with his anxiety. He is still having meltdowns but not as many. Wednesday morning he is at the nuero-developmental clinic and we should have answers to where on the autism spectrum he is. I am actually glad that Sean will be at the appointment with us, with all the stress I am feeling my dyslexia is crazy. I have a job interview with a temp agency tomorrow and an interview next week set up. Sean has been applying for stuff and one place that was going to make an offer (but he had the other job) still has the position open so we are hopeful he will be working again soon.

Margaret...good luck with Robbie's appt today I'm glad the anxiety seems to be doing better. I'll be thinking about you on Wednesday. I'm glad DH is able to be there also. That's great that you have an interview. Hopefully both of you will have jobs soon!

I have violin lessons in a few minutes. I'm sure it won't be much of a lesson as I want to show my teacher my pics from the trip. I really need to clean my house. I was going to do that today but have spent all day on the computer uploading pics. I also typed up a little journal of what we did when we were there.

Robbie's appointment went well. He goes back in 3 months. His doctor is happy with the med results so all is good.

As of this evening I have 2 job interviews lined up, tomorrow morning, thursday afternoon and next thursday morning.
