Sorry I have not been around much. The muscle relaxants were doing a number on me, tired and not very functional, I have now only taken one in the last 3 days and that was today. It is teachers convention here so Robbie was off school on Thursday and Friday. Friday we went to the pool and spent 2.5 hours, I divided my time between the pool and the hot tub. It really helped with the pain.

Today we got a humidifier for the house. It is so dry and I constantly get nose bleeds. I have noticed a difference already! We were going to get one that attached to our furnace but how things are set up it would not work for us.

I had a cpap appointment on thursday and they gave me a new mask BUT it is wrong for my machine!!! I called yesterday but they were closed! It is just a loaner mask but.... I was so mad. I had my machine there and should have made sure it fit.

Margaret...glad to hear you pain is improving and that you were able to soak in a hot tub. I put a small humidifier in my bedroom because it's hard for me to sleep when it's so dry. That's a bummer about your cpap.

We are looking into getting a humidifier for our furnace. I was dusting and noticed there is a big crack on our 19 month old custom made solid oak dining room table. We are not impressed. The guy that made it told DH he has a bad attitude and may not fix it and that it's our fault because we don't have a humidifier on our furnace. We were never told by him to get a humdifier and we have a ton of furniture in our house that has never cracked because it's too dry. Some of the pieces in the same room are over 150 years old and have sat out in a garage for 10+ years and they are not cracked. We are frustrated because he is not standing up to his workmanship. I know he can't control the moisture in the wood but he could've used an aged wood. He said for $150+ he'll come and pick it up and fix it. We paid a pretty penny for this table. It's 8 feet long with eight chairs and has 8 leaves so it extends to 16 ft long...it wasn't cheap. I could've gotten better quality buying it at Target.

We have another set back in our bathroom project. Our contractor has been in the ICU since Tuesday and is looking at bypass surgery. Two of his main arteries are 100% blocked. He's been having his worker do everything so far while he's been working on the vanity but now is the time where he was going to come in and lay the tile and drywall. He's worried about our project and we told him not to worry about it and to focus on himself. He's looking to find someone else to tile and drywall.

My parents had a bunch of ppl over and had a wild game feed last night. I went over there, it was a lot of fun. They had squirrel (which wasn't bad), fish, pheasant, partridge, venison, sides, salads and pie. I have apple crisp in the oven right now for tonight. My parents and sister are going to come over for dinner. I'm going to make a roast.

We are in for another winter storm tomorrow into Tuesday. We had no snow all winter until the last few weeks

We love gallo pinto, though we cheat and make it with canned beans.

Meg- ive seen the pics, your table is beautiful... If I were you I would spend the money and get it fixed. And yes, obviously this guy did not do his job. He is just using whatever excuse he can. Well, word of mouth is how these people thrive so I am sure this will come back to bite him. How do you know that it wont shrink further? Maybe you should wait to get it fixed? Anyway, we are still scouring craigs list for the perfect table. We need something that can at least seat 8 with the leaves in.

    Margaret- hope you feel better

Our spring break starts monday. Since luke will be out of school anyway we are headed back to Texas. Our oldest gave the twins a cold and it has me freaked out a bit. But I dont see any reason to hold off on traveling. The medical care is better there anyway. Hopefully we wont need it.

We will definately have him fix the table and will look into getting a humdifier put on our geothermal. We have no other options. We could have someone else fix it but then that would make someone else fix someone's screw up. The way he told DH that "he didn't like his attitude" made it sound like he was scolding a child. He doesn't understand that we have the right to be frustrated with him. We had our table made because we couldn't find one we liked. Plus, we wanted it to extend out far.

Have fun on your trip back to Texas, Tiffany. I think you should still go even though your LOs are sick. You know what to watch for and know when it's more than you can handle at home.

I love it. I have a similar one that I also bought on Etsy. I wear it everyday.

Ugh, it's been a rough 5 days. One of my students literally sneezed in my face and that was it... I've been sick since. I finally went to the dr and I have a sinus and ear infection. Not fun at all!

Margaret...nice necklace! What a wonderful memory of Bailey.

Mari...sorry you aren't feeling well. Hope you get to feeling better.

We didn't get the snow they were predicting. It was kind of disappointing. I was hoping for a nice snowstorm. There was a 2 hr delay yesterday morning but it only snowed about 1/2 inch last night so school was at regular time today. We had DD1's chorus concert last night so we are done with this stretch of band/vocal concerts...3 in one week is enough. I have a bunch of ripe bananas that I'm going to make muffins with this morning. I'm going to try some Nutella swirl banana muffins. The plumbers have been working on our bathroom. They were here all day yesterday and I'm expecting them to be back this morning. They got the whirlpool tub set and are now doing all the water line stuff. Our contractor was going to have stents placed in his arteries instead of bypass...the cardiologist wanted to try that first. We got a quote for a humidifier to be put on our geothermal so I think we're going to do that. DH called the table guy yesterday to say that we wanted him to fix it and he answered his phone twice and then got disconnected then didn't answer anymore. I bet he's not going to answer because he doesn't want to fix the table. If that's the case I'm going to be very irked.

    m/c mentioned...

I was just writing down today's date and realized that yesterday, March 4, was the due date of our baby we lost. It's crazy to think we could've had a 3 year old and how different our lives would've been.

I started re-reading the book "5 Love Languages." I bought it about 2 years ago and started it and never finished it. I also have the workbook guide that was done at a Bible study that I never finished. From what I remember, what little I did read of the book was very interesting.

Meg-sorry about the date. I'm sure I will always have that day dear to me as well.

I had a rough day yesterday. Yet another pregnant teacher.. It hurts so badly to hear about other pregnancies. It literally ruined my day even after trying very hard to ignore it. I'm so sick and tired of this feeling. I really am. I'm tired of thinking about pregnancy and babies. I just wish life can be "normal" again. Sorry I just need to vent, you girls are really the only ones that understand this pain.
