Marg- I'm so sorry you aren't feeling better! Hoping all goes well with the job!

Meg-teengage girls!! So not ready for that. SHe's difficult now at 8!!!

AFM- I'm a little angry and trying hard to hide it. So my good friend that I told you is pregnant found out she's pregnant with twins. Well since she found out she is pregnant has decided she wants to join us for lunch everyday. I mean I do love her and she is great but why does she pick now to eat with us. She is 10 weeks and already looks (I'm not exaggerating) about 4 months pregnant. And all she talks about is her twins and twins that. I'm really starting to question how she really feels about me. Or am I over reacting? I must admit I do feel better about being around pregnant women but I'm not 100% ready and since none of my coworkers can relate I know if I say something they won't understand. I'm sorry just needed to vent... I'm so frustrated.

    Anyway, IT'S FRIDAY!!! YES!!

Marisol...I'm so sorry. Does this person know your history? I'm sure she is really excited and wants to share her excitement with others and isn't thinking much about you. I don't think you are overreacting. I'm sure I would feel the same way. You are right, no one IRL would understand.

Most definitely! She is a close friend of mine, and that is why I'm just keeping this to myself because I don't want to make her uncomfortable during her time , KWIM?

Marisol...that is difficult when she is such a close friend.

We had our seafood dinner last night. We purchased it on auction last year at our girls' school gala. We were supposed to have it last month but the person cooking it had Influenza so it was postponed for last night. We invited my sister and her boyfriend. It was at a couple's house and they did all the cooking. It was soooo good...as always. This was our 3rd time purchasing it. They didn't donate it this year. The meal started out with homemade bread and dipping oil. Then we had shrimp with a garlic butter sauce. Next was a pesto stuffed ravioli (homemade) with a scallop sauce. Then we had lobster bisque (amazing!) and a salad. Our main course was crab legs, a filet and a mushroom stuffed ravioli with a mushroom and onion sauce. For dessert we had turtle cheesecake. And all the drinks we could want. I behaved myself since I was driving. It was such a fun night.

We put a bid on a silent auction item for the local hospital and won it. It's a dessert of the month donated by the hospital dietary staff. We get our first dessert tomorrow. It's a Rhubarb cake. Next month's is a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Dessert. I'm looking at the list of them and they sound so yummy. It works well since tomorrow is DD1's birthday.

I've made different rhubarb things but idk if I've ever made a cake. I'm assuming it's a yellow cake with rhubarb. I'll let you know tomorrow. I'm going make DD cake batter pancakes in the morning.

Todays my due date. I'm okay I guess. DD and I are going to release pink balloons after school. It worked out great because it's bring your child to work day so I get to spend the day with her all day.

Hugs Mari. Releasing the balloons sound like a great way to honour this day. I am sure Emily was thrilled to spend the day with you.

I hope yesterday went ok. I was thinking about you. Sounds like a very nice thing to do in memory of Cecilia. I'm glad you were able to spend your day with DD.
