I am so glad that the snow finally missed us. We really got pummeled this year. Was a record breaking year on many accounts and not an ease into Minnesota winter. Now the birds are chirping. The frogs are croaking. Spring has finally arrived to the bitter cold north.

Hope you guys are doing well. Things are too crazy at our house to even think about a cruise. In fact, I am putting my vacation off until late in the summer when hopefully all will be sleeping at night. Even then, we are having a hard time deciding what to do... may just be a staycation which is very unlike us.

Hoping to get out for a walk soon.

The snow is finally melting. Today it was in the 70's. I got out for a run a bit ago. It was nice to be able to go outside without freezing. We still have a lot of limbs and branches in our yard to clean up from the snowstorm. We are going to cut down about 7 evergreen tree things that got ruined and plant a few fruit trees.

I haven't even began packing for our cruise. It's 2 1/2 weeks away. I have a ton to do before we go so I'm just planning my life day by day. Our bathroom project is soooo close to being done (18 weeks later). The contractor is done with his part. Now it's waiting on the plumber to finish the shower and put the shower door in and the electrician to finish hooking up stuff for the TV/surround sound. I'm tired of waiting for ppl. We got our bedroom painted and carpeted and 2 of the 6 pieces of our new bedroom set in there. One of the delivery guys tripped in the truck and fell and dropped the chest of drawers and damaged it so they are ordering us a new one. Thankfully we can use the damaged one until we get the new one since it takes 12-14 weeks to get a new one made. Nothing can just go as expected with us. The other four pieces are being made. It's Amish built and different families in Indiana make each piece. I'll post pics of our bedroom since it's pretty much completed. I'll wait to post pics of the bathroom until it's 100% done.

Tiffany... I hope you can get away for a vacation sometime. Thanks for telling me about different online cruise forums. I found a great one and have met some ppl. We have a private meet and greet when we board the ship and are having a private mixology tasting while on the cruise.

Meg - That is so awesome. For us, the people we met on the cruise made all the difference. Last summer we hung out with a Russian couple who had a boy Luke's age that we met through the online forums. It was nice for him to have someone to play with. And our husbands spent the week discussing sports. When there is more sleeping going on at our house we can think of vacations. The boys are just 4 months old. So happy you got the bathroom done. Did you post pictures?

Work is going well and I am tempted to buy a house here. The neighborhood we are in is very nice. We are on a cul-de-sac and love our neighbors. The house is not really what we wanted but there is a short nature trail from here leading to another cul-de-sac with land for sale. I want to buy it but hubby is reticent. The elementary school here would be fine, but the middle school is iffy and the high school is ok - by Minnesota standards. I am sure they are far better than the public schools in Dallas. A school district a few miles away performs much better. But there is also a couple excellent private schools... but with three kids that would be a major expense.

Here are some before and after pics of our bedroom. Excuse the ginormous mess in the before pics. I lived with boxes and clutter all over our bedroom floor for 4 months. Our walls weren't typically multi-colored as they are in the before pic. DH painted out the paint left in the rollers after painting the bathroom. The two pieces of furniture are the new ones in the after pic. We are waiting on a bed, 2 night stands and a cedar chest to go under the window. I really hated how we had to have our bed under the window before we got the new bedroom set. It was the only place since our dresser was too long and would only go on the wall our bed is now on. I'll post pics of our bathroom when it is "offically" done.

Glad work is going well. You must like it since you are considering buying a house or property. If you bought the land and decided not to build on it, would it be possible to easily sell it in the future? There is a lot to consider when deciding where to live permanently. I'm glad we only have one school to choose from.

I honestly don't know. The market is improving up here, but I don't really know how long land stays on the market. Land or a house in the better school district would be easier to sell if we needed to. The green in your room is very serene.

Today we have dance pictures for DD2 and 3. At least this year I only have to get 2 girls in full make-up and get their hair done. It's nice that they are all done in one day. Hopefully it will take a little over an hour as scheduled. We also have a graduation party to attend. We need to finish up the last project of the year for DD3. They do a "wax museum" where they have to pick someone, research them, make a backboard and dress as them. During the exhibit they stand by their backboard like a wax statue and have a "button" that you push and they tell a bit about themselves. DD3 chose Chef Boyardee. DD2 and her friend are Ann Landers and Abby. She's been working on that at her friend's house so that makes it nice so I can help DD3 more.

I had my routine (you're "old" ) mammogram today. The tech drove me nuts. She asked when my last period was, I told her. Was there any chance I was pregnant, no, are you sure.... I understand she needed to ask but when I explained that I don't ovulate and I am on BCPs should have been enough. It got to the point where I almost said that yesterday was the first time DH and I had sex in about a month... If I do not hear anything by tomorrow noon then all is good. I am not expecting a call. Wednesday I have my blood work.

Little man woke us up at 3am throwing up I had just gone to sleep at 2am. I am working 2:45-11pm Wednesday-Sunday at Target. Still looking for something else.

A friend from high school died on Friday night from a massive heart attack at age 43. He was a great guy who was friends with everyone. It was a huge shock. He still played hockey (as well as coached his kids). Just really sad. Way too many of my classmates have died way too young and this is our 25th reunion year

Got a call tonight to invite our boy to Cubs at church. Since he turns 8 in June he can come now to meet everyone, registration for September is in June. The school and his psychiatrist have suggested Cubs (Scouts) would be good for him.

Margaret...glad you got your mammogram out of the way. I would've liked to see her reaction had you said that about DH and you having sex. m/c mentioned...when I had my D&C after my m/c they made me POAS because of the anesthesia. It was horrible seeing it come back positive. I think in those situations it doesn't need to be done. Sorry to hear about DS being sick. How is he feeling now? That's too bad about your friend. So young and it sounds like he was in good physical health. Hope your DS enjoys Cub Scouts. My nephews are really involved in it.

We had our last school program of the year last night. We are winding down the school year. Since the girls were going to miss the last day of school because of our trip we decided to take them out the 2nd to last day also. This gives me time to take them to get manis/pedis and not feel so rushed the day before. I'm going to "officially" start packing on Sunday. I got DD3 about 1/2 packed. If I pack too early I go into anxious mode and I'll be anxious until we leave.

I'm going to clean, clean, clean my house today. Since our bathroom is done and everyone is done tromping through our house I can finally clean it and not have it messed up right away. I took my first shower in our shower yesterday and it was really nice.
Today it's supposed to be in the 90's so it's a good day to turn on the air and stay inside.

Tomorrow I'm going to work a few hours with the Plastic Surgeon I used to work with. Their nurse has something else going on in the morning so they asked me if I'd fill in. I'm good friends with his wife and I miss talking with her since we don't get together very much. Both her and I have a luncheon to go to at the hospital afterwards so it worked out well.
