It was horrible seeing it come back positive. I think in those situations it doesn't need to be done. Sorry to hear about DS being sick. How is he feeling now? That's too bad about your friend. So young and it sounds like he was in good physical health. Hope your DS enjoys Cub Scouts. My nephews are really involved in it.
It would have been funny. No phone call so all is good. I did have a lump when I was 29 but it was just a solid cyst, that mammogram was scary, but the other ones have been fine. My breasts are so large though that they have to take an extra picture to get my nipple in properly. With my D&C they just pulled my U/S report from the day before, unless they did a blood test and did not tell me. That day is pretty much in a fog for me. Robbie was fine, should have sent him to school as he drove me insane.

This gives me time to take them to get manis/pedis and not feel so rushed the day before. I'm going to "officially" start packing on Sunday. I got DD3 about 1/2 packed. If I pack too early I go into anxious mode and I'll be anxious until we leave.
Wow, I forget how early you guys get out of school. Here they get out the last week of June. Last year the big end of school party (at the splash park) fell on Robbie's birthday, so he was pretty happy. Just discussed Robbie's 8th birthday/family pictures photo shoot with my friend. This is the same photographer who did my boudoir shoot. We are going out to her farm for outside pictures. I will have to load up on allergy meds but it will be good.

I need to run to the grocery store and to pick up some flowers so I get get my flower pots started outside. We have been having wonderful weather and tonight my Brownies has been cancelled - they are having a special night tomorrow night at the Science Centre but I am working - so I have time to get things looking nice.

Tomorrow morning I go to the "vampire's" and then all the stuff from my physical will be done. Hate doing fasting blood draws but at least I have an appointment so I won't have to wait long.

Margaret-hope everything turns out just fine. Sorry about your friend, that really stinks. That would have made me upset, and I really don't see the point of having you POAS at that point...!! Hope your little one is feeling better!!!

Meg-so jealous about school being almost done. We still go till June 24th!! I hope you guys have the greatest time ever!!

AFM-well I think I'm officially on the world's worst bad luck spree!!! I now have a miserable cold! I actually got a fever last night, and I can't even recall when was the last time I had a fever. I just realized that I will be getting my period on the last week of our vacation which TOTALLY sucks!! I'm considering using a tampon (never have before...i know, i know) but I'm terrified of them. However, sitting in the hot miami sun with a pad on sounds dreadful! So I bought a pack and will give it a test run this cycle to see how it goes. I don't even know how to put those things on! So embarrassing!!!!!! Any helpful suggestions would be great!!

Tampons just do not work well for me, my vagina tilts in a way that is weird. That being said I had the best luck with insertion with putting a drop of lube on the tip, but I tend to have a dryness issue most of the time. You shouldn't feel a tampon when inserted correctly but my body just pushes them out. I also found the wider I could straddle the toilet the easier things were.

Picked up the flowers - $100 later I need to dig up the rocks and put in perennials so that we don't have to pay so much for flowers. Didn't make it to the grocery store. Think we will have burgers for supper. So, now outside to make my yard pretty.

The last day of school here was supposed to be Monday but we had snow days to make up. I think our first day of school is August 15. This summer is already going to go by way too fast.

I ran/walked 2 miles tonight. I need to get a little running in because I want to run the 5K on our cruise.

I worked my 3 hours this morning then went to a luncheon. It was fun. It had a Japenese theme to it and we made Japenese floral arrangements.

OMG, I tried putting in the tampon! I nearly had a panic attack! First off I felt it, and it reminded me exactly how it felt when I had the bulging membranes.

Then it hurt to take it out because I couldn't stand having it in. UGH, I will try again tomorrow and hopefully it will go in better. If not, then I give up.

What size are you using? Not that I have tried in a long time, almost 20 years but I used to use "slender regular", kinda like a teen size, don't even know if they still make those ones.

The plus size. I will try and pick up a smaller size this weekend. I want to try again because I would rather this not "ruin" my vacation. I'm one of those that gets to the beach and stays in the water for hours so that would suck so bad!!!!

I'm sorry I just realized there were so many posts...

Mari...I would try using a smaller size since you are using them for the first time. I also find that the plastic applicator ones go in easier. When I remove a tampon that is "dry" (nothing on it), it really hurts so that might be why it hurt removing it. DD1 just got her first period about 3 weeks ago and I'm trying to figure out what she should do when it comes to swimming. I wear tampons all the time but I remember when I was young trying to use them. I didn't start using them until I was a freshman in high school. I'm really hoping she'll be irregular for a while so she doesn't get it on the cruise. Hope you can get something that works for you.

I started packing today and I'm almost done. I had a box that I'd just throw stuff in for the last few weeks. It's pretty overwhelming packing for 5 ppl stuck on a ship for a week. I've read through lists ppl have written that have been on the cruises so I have that to go off of. It's just packing all the "what if" things and not knowing what a cruise ship cabin is like. I swear I have half a pharmacy and doctor's office with me. I waited until now to pack because once I start I want to be done. I hate not being able to put in the stuff that I'll need between now and Thursday. DD 2 & 3 and I are going for mani/pedis on Thursday morning. DD1 doesn't care for them so both her and DH will go get their hair cut. We decided since they are missing the last day of school on Friday that we'd have them miss Thursday also. This gives us a little more time to get ready to go before we need to leave to stay at a hotel close to the airport and then we can get the manis/pedis the girls are looking forward to.

On Tuesday we have DD2's 6th grade prayer service and reception. It's kind of like a graduation out of the private school. Next year she'll go to the public middle school. We will only have one child left in private school, and to be honest, I'm counting down until she is done. Unfortunately, we have 2 years left. I'm just really burnt out with that school. Maybe only having one child there will make me feel better about it.

I think DH and I might take a trip out to Vegas for our anniversary in August. We rented out our lake house to someone that weekend so we can take that money to do something. If I'm looking at our Marriott timeshare right we have a week to use. I think when we are out there we'll go to Zumanity and possibly Penn and Teller (since he was just on The Apprentice). We haven't been to Vegas since 2009 so it's time for us to go again. We don't gamble, we just like to go to shows, eat and walk around.

I'm looking into doing something when in FL, just the 2 of us. I really feel like we need the alone time. I've been searching on groupon and actually found the hotel we stayed at on our honeymoon and I might just book it. There's 3 days left on the deal...
