Mari...glad you got the tampons figured out. Idk what I'd do without them. DD1 just got her period last month. I was so worried she'd get it on the cruise. When we were there she asked me what she would do with swimming when she got her period. I told her either she can't swim or she has to use tampons. Surprisingly, she got them figured out pretty quick. I remember trying to use them and gave up because I was too scared when I was young. Have a great vacation if I don't get back on here before you leave! Relax and enjoy! Sounds like you have some great things planned.

Margaret...update us when you find out more about your interview. Have fun planning the bday party.

They did find the abducted girl's body. A fisherman found her body under a bridge Friday night. Autopsy confirmed it was her and that she died of sharp and blunt force trauma. Not the outcome everyone was hoping for but the one expected after time went on. At least now her family can have some closure. They are going to try to change the laws about mandatory sentencing for sex offenders. This guy was sentenced to 41 years in prison for kidnapping 2 kids and leaving them in a dumpster (they survived) and kidnapping and sexually assulting a 19 yr in 1991. He served 19 years of it because there was no mandatory sentencing. He plea bargained down to 3rd degree kidnapping. What he plea bargained from would've been life in prison. So he really should've never been let back on the streets.

DH and I mowed today. It was hot out! We were going to mow tonight after he got off call but I was worried it would rain. We leave in the morning to spend over a week at our lakehouse. This is our first time getting up there this year. Usually we are up there in May.

I snapped at a coworker yesterday and I didn't feel bad.

There was a baby shower yesterday for a coworker and I gave the money for the gift but chose not to go. She calls my classroom insisting I go up with her and when she asked why I said... "why because I don't feel like celebrating babies right now, I don't understand what you guys don't understand about that. Did u people forget what I have been through." She felt terrible, but hey she got the darn point!!! UGH!! People can be so stupid!!!

    Okay , vent over!!!

I can't believe your coworker. Glad she got the message and I do not blame you at all for snapping. You were probably a lot more calm then I would have been. School should be almost over for you, last day here is on the 27th.

Not due to anyone on the boards but I will be leaving them. My marriage is over, I will probably lose custody of Robbie and I can not be around people on here and share in their happiness while my own heart is breaking.

If anyone wants to stay in touch, I am on facebook, or my email is robbies.momma@gmail.com

Hope everyone is doing well on here!!! Sad that the chat thread has slowed down but I know everyone is busy. It seems summertime is just as busy as other times of the year. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far.

Today has been a blah, rainy day. I was going to go to the pool and do Aqua Zumba this evening but it's a bit chilly and is supposed to rain more. The sun is shining right now after raining over 1 1/2 inches but it's pretty windy. We are headed to our lake house Wednesday until after the 4th.

    Default New to the Board

Hello Ladies, I'm new to this section of the boards, so I wanted to introduce myself (was on one of the TTC boards a couple years ago when my journey was just beginning)

My name is Robbyn, DH, Bill and I have been trying to conceive for 3 years, going through fertility treatments for 2 for PCOS and low sperm. Our RE recommended IVF 8 months ago and we have finally saved up enough to give it a try.

I just had me egg retrieval this morning(17 big ones!), but have to wait a month to transfer thanks to Ovarian Hyperstimulation(ouch)

I'm a speech therapist in the schools, living in San Diego. Both DH and I have the summer off(he's a 6th grade math teacher). So, we have lots of time to enjoy our (hopefully) last months per pregnancy.

Who else is out there? Where are you in your fertility journeys.

Welcome!!! Glad you came over here. Sorry for your long journey of IF. That's great you had so many eggs retrieved. I'm sure it's frustrating having to wait a whole month before transfer but it's for the best. Enjoy summer off with your DH. Any big plans?

Hopefully some other ladies join in here. This board goes in waves. It's busy, then it slows down. I'm done TTC but I can't stay away from this board. As you can see in my siggy I did a few IUI's and 3 IVF cycles. After all that DH and I decided enough was enough. Child mentioned...I'm in a bit of a different situation in that DH had 3 daughters from a previous marriage (first wife passed away) so I adopted them after we got married. I have the opportunity of having children and being a mother. I wanted the opportunity to have a bio child and experience pregnancy, birth and a baby but when that didn't happen I was at peace after my 3rd cycle.

Well, he finally stood up to his abusive mother... we are trying marriage counselling again and hopefully things will be ok. We have had issues for years all surrounding his mother and her abuse of me. I had enough of it. I really hope that things work out now that the evil piece of crap is out of our lives. Especially since we had sex and I forgot my BCP for the next two days. I have never in my life missed a BCP let alone two... Not that I really think there is a chance but you never know.

Hi Robbyn. Wish you didn't have to be on this board but the ladies here are wonderful. I have had severe PCOS since I was 16. (child ment) I did get pregnant without assistance, and Robbie is now 8 (on Wednesday). (m/c ment) I got pregnant again without assistance after an hsg but that pregnancy ended at 12 weeks. We were going to try IUI but I became severely allergic to the puregon and so we decided the end was here. I am not totally at peace with that, still wanting a newborn. We will be adopting through the public system I hope.

    Hi and Welcome!!

I'm Marisol. Good luck on your transfer!! Stinks you have to wait though. I will hopefully be starting a 3rd cycle a the end of July. I recently lost a baby girl at 23W due to an incompetent cervix.

*Just wanted to say Bye to all you fine ladies. I will check in a couple of weeks. We are leaving to Disney in a couple of hours! We will be back home July 14th!!!!!
