Margaret...how is the new job going?

I had a great bday. We left for the lake Tuesday morning after DH got off work. We ate breakfast at a place we've never been to so that was fun. My surprise was stand up paddle boarding. I was very leery of it since it wasn't a class, we were just renting the boards. It was tons of fun. The weather was a little cool but that made less boat traffic and waves on the lake. It's pretty easy to do. We ended up buying 2 boards from the place we rented them. We got them at a discounted price since they are used and will get them at the end of the season. We can go there and use them anytime they are not in use for free. I thought I'd feel it more in my core but my calves were what was sore the next day. I was probably very stiff for fear of tipping the board. We ate dinner at a Mexican restuarant that I've been going to since I was a kid. That evening we went to the play "The Importance of Being Ernest" at the local theatre. I did my 31 mile bike ride on Wednesday. We ended up riding 32.82 miles. It was a really nice day for a bike ride. On Monday DH and I go to Vegas to celebrate our anniversary.

That us awesome about the bikeing! Dh and I enjoy it but with DD it is hard to do. A few years back we did a 16 mile trail in the everglades it was winderful but I thought I would die of exhaustion! Towards the end I nearly puked everywhere! We have some nice trails here. I hope to get back to it once we get over this ttc nightmare! I feel soooo bloated today which means af should arrive in a few days!! Ahh- let the ivf stress begin!!

DH and I started biking more last year after I got a nice bike. There are tons of nice trails around the lakes area where we have a cabin. We rode by 3 lakes, all the way around one of them. Last year when I did 30 miles it was soooo hot and very windy. I felt pretty good when I got done last year. I don't really train for it. The furthest we go just leisurely riding is about 8 miles. During this week every year there is a bike ride that goes all the way across Iowa called RAGBRAI. There are about 25,000 riders and they start on the west side of Iowa and dip their tire in the Missouri River then finish on the east side dipping their tire in the Mississippi River. There are stops in towns every night and it's a big party each night. A few years ago it came through my town and we hosted a few riders to spend the night. DH rode the whole thing when he was younger. I've thought about riding a day of it sometime. Idk if I could do the whole thing.

Mari...Too bad there has to be stress with IVF. If there wasn't any stress it'd be so much easier. Good luck!

My garbage is full of hormones!! I just got rid of tons of expired IVF meds. They've been expired for a few years but I felt guilty throwing away that many $ in meds. I held on to them for my sister who was possibly going to be doing IVF.

Sorry not to reply earlier. Work has been great, wish it could go to permanent but I doubt it. I am working at a glorified law firm (as told to me by my trainer). I have to say that security at this part of the government is more lax then my last job. I love my title "financial analyst" it sounds so impressive for someone who enters invoices and then posts them so bills can be paid.

Glad to hear your job is going well. That would be nice if they would make it a permanent position for you.

Well AF showed! Start IVF injections tomorrow! I freaked out because I actually started a flow already so I called the RE but the nurse told me it was fine to come in tomorrow. This is so surreal to me still.

UGH- I swear I never have a dull moment.

    Well IVF may be canceled!

I went in today CD2 BTW, to get the typical US and BW, and I already had a dominant follicle that was too big!! I started the ganarillex today and tomorrow and I go back Friday. I will know more on Friday but the RE didn't seem to happy with things. She is also not expecting a lot of eggs as well. She said that she usually sees results with the ganirellix before beginning the stims but it's not a guarantee. I'm so upset. I mean how can I have such a big follicle already and I'm only on CD2! UGH!!!

Mari...:bigarmhugs: So sorry that you have this disappointment at the start of your cycle. I hope the ganirellix helps. How did your appt Friday go? Sorry to not have responded earlier. We just got home from being gone for a week.

We got back from Vegas on Friday night and spent the weekend at my SIL and BIL's. They watched the girls for the week while we were gone. They have two daughters so it's fun for the cousins to get together to play. Also my BIL's two girls came from Jersey for a few days so it was 7 girls together under the age of 13. I'm sure there was drama at times. There's bound to be with that many girls. DH and I had a fun time in Vegas. We went to Gold & Silver Pawn Shop from "Pawn Stars." I saw a necklace there I really liked but was real indecisive about it. We left and decided to go back after walking down the street a block. When we got back "the Old Man" was behind the counter so we met him and DH got a pic with him. We decided to buy the necklace. We were hoping to wheel and deal on it but since it's a new item all they could do was not charge tax which saved some money. I ended up getting my pic taken with "The Old Man" and he signed my reciept. It was a lot of fun. Then we went to Count's Kustom Cars from "Counting Cars." There you could tour Count's personal collection of cars. I'm sure there was a few million dollars worth of cars there. DH met someone from the show. I don't watch it so I'm not too familiar with it. We also did lots of walking through casinos and shops. We didn't gamble a penny. We ate at really good restuarants. We went to see Cirque Du Soleil "Zumanity" our first night. It wasn't that great of show. Probably our least fav of Cirque shows. We were expecting to be "wowed" more. I think it was an excuse for Cirque to have a nude show. Then we saw Penn and Teller the next night and that was really good. We had our anniversary dinner at the Eiffel Tower in Paris. It was the most expensive restuarant I've ever been to and unfortunately I was kind of having a panic attack while we were there so I didn't enjoy the meal much since I was nauseous. I felt really bad but DH got to eat my meal. Idk what set it off. My dress was very tight so I could've felt claustrophobic in that. Luckily, we had $175 in gift cards to use that we got for going on a "sales presentation" at the Marriott.

School starts next Thursday so we have to work on getting the girls back into a school routine.
